Besides the modern cars, that are not my thing, the classics he owns are on another level, this is peak elegance, and totally fitting with the character, still not my cup of tea, except a couple of pieces, but im knowledgeable enough to appreciate and recognize where beauty is. Most of the time, these 3 are polished with talking head segments about every car but here there’s some real back-and-forth among 3 experts. Really love seeing this Socratic appraisal.
Absolutely awesome episode! I honestly enjoyed this one infinitely more than the relatively dime-a-dozen modern supercar collections, mainly due to the amount of history involved. It also made me think that I really want to see you guys tackle Leno's collection next, which, while it may not be as valuable, I do think it's more eclectic with stuff like the Shogun, Turbine car and other really oddball cars. Very much looking forward to seeing the group's thoughts and opinions on those in the next episode!
This was a real treat, what a collection. And my opinion is keep doing these. Very interesting videos and adds a nice mix between car stories.
This was the best video you guys have ever done. I saw Ralph's cars on display in Boston - STUNNING. And I've seen Ralph several times around Greenwich driving and I always wave and he gives a thumbs up. Seen him in BMW Z8, Mercedes CLK Black Series. I also have some Bruce Webber original photos of his Ferrari P2/3 that a friend who worked at RL gave me years ago.
I love to see these appraisal videos. You 3 are the best at this . Cheers guys
Really Enjoyed that Appraisal video! What an amazing collection! Keep em coming. Can't wait for the Jay Leno one!
That's an amazing collection. 3:10 wow. I was picturing that to be much smaller. It looks huge with people in it.
This series is one of the best things on VinWiki. Great job again!
I lived in Telluride for a long time and got to see Ralph's cars a few times. I grabbed my son when his 2006 Bugatti Veyron was going into town, the one you reviewed, and took some pictures. The first of Ralph's cars I saw was his deep purple MacLaren P1. I don't know if he still has it. Those Bugatti pictures in your story were taken in Mt. Village and Sawpit outside of Telluride. Someone told me Ralph trucks a lot of vehicles to his Double RL Ranch outside of Ridgway because there are a lot of long straight flat roads between there and Utah. Western San Miguel County is an unknown driver's paradise.
I believe there is a 3rd Bugatti Tipo 57 SC A fully private collector in southern US, never transacts their cars publicly. I have seen it myself.
Back in about 2001 I pulled up to a stop light in the small Colorado town I lived in and next to me was Ralph in his silver McLaren F1. Was quite a sight!
Love this series this is my favorite yt channel keep it up guys.
That was FANTASTIC! Passion, Knowledge and enthusiasm for these amazing cars!
I was fortunate enough to have seen the Ssk up close at Concourse d’ Elegance at Meadow Brook Hall in Michigan back in the mid 90’s. It was absolutely stunning. This show was one of those shows that even the parking lot was impressive. I still remember the trip there there was 355 and Nsx racing on the way there. Unfortunately, my Mom was driving and our old 91 300D couldn’t have kept up even if we wanted too.
I love this series. Thanks guys!

Keep this series coming, they are the best! cheers
I saw many of these cars at the Boston MFA display c.2005. The thing that stood out the most were the “imperfections”. The rivets on the spine of the the SC, the paint on the D type, the emblem on the blower Bentley, and the leather in the SL. True handmade artwork.
I’ve been fortunate enough to see Jim Taylor’s collection auctions in October, the D-type is spectacular. I think you all undervalued it.
This was mind boggling. So many cars, I had just heard about as a kid, reside with one man of unparalleled vision. Thanks for the video.
Excellent content….thanks so much for putting this together. And yes--MORE,MORE,MORE!!!
This collection needs a follow up! What an insane collection.
Thanks guys. Great episode.
Love the series! I do however struggle with collections that are more art than they are cars. A great collection and a testament of great taste nonetheless.

The Hamilton Collection
Great episode. I went especially tp Paris to see RL's collection when it was shown at the Louvre. A true privilege to view them. I saw the 250LM race at Sandown in Melbourne in 1968. Chris Amon driving it to win. If we talk about the ones that got away, in 1998 I was in London staying at the Dorchester. I was walking back to the hotel and came across a small car showroom. Sitting in the window with its engine lid open, gold foil on display, was an F1. I went in to have a look. It was the last one for sale. From memory around $650k. I couldn't justify buying it. Such an absurd price for a car. Right.

John Ficarra. You have to be kidding me. As a child I got my first slot car set one Christmas and the 2 cars it came with were Ferrari 250TR and D Jag! Have loved them both ever since.
I saw the Atlantic coupe at a small car show 30+ years ago. It was amazing then and still captivates. So stunning.

Great video, as always! Funny that John mentioned Stroll when discussing the 288. His collection would be worth reviewing too. Since you mentioned Lauren's three F1's, I thought I'd share this next bit. I think it's widely known now that Stroll has two; a silver road car, one of 64, chassis # not public, and a longtail gtr, chassis 23R, one of 9 longtails. Fun fact, he's the original owner of his road car, and he's the only known owner to have spec'd an ashtray! Big cigar fan. He also spec'd a baby seat with matching upholstery! I have a few pictures of his personal garage in Tremblant as well as a video my father filmed when we visited his dealership back in 2004. A relative used to work for him and I got to sit in his F40 (can't remember if it was the standard car or GTE, I'd have to find the pictures), but it's been my favourite car since I was around 8 years old so I was thrilled to say the least. I haven't seen the video in at least 15 years so I'd have to hunt the camcorder cassettes, but there was a silver car there that, from looking at other pictures I have, I think was his silver 250 TR. Simply gorgeous car, even for a 13-year-old who didn't know what these most of these cars were at that time and didn't speak English. He's got other unique cars as well, very interesting collection, that is for sure.

Lawrence Stroll has sold BOTH of his McLaren F1s. The chassis of his road car was 052, and he sold it to Rob Walton (Walmart billionaire heir) and it resides in Arizona. His other F1, F1 GTR Longtail (23R) was sold to the United Kingdom and was recently purchased by a collector in the Midwest USA who has three other F1s, including F1 LM2 (the *other* F1 LM in the US that isn't Ralph Lauren's). In fact, Stroll has sold off lots of his collection, including his Ferrari 250 GTO. It is much less impressive than it once was.

@@cgbsales95 Interesting stuff. I haven't been active on the different forums in years, maybe I should go back and read some of Peloton's posts too. I knew Stroll's divorce hit hard, never thought he'd ever sell the F1's, though. I figured the GTO, the TR, both F1's, and the 330 would always stay with him. I knew he sold the track and dealership, both to Gad Bitton, who I suspect also bought LS's FXX. He still owns his house in Tremblant according to the city's website, I'm guessing it will be for sale in the near future too given that he doesn't own the track anymore and has liquidated a lot of cars. Thanks for the update on the cars, I had stopped keeping up with the info as my relative stopped working for him 5 years ago.

That was awesome, thanks guys
Love this Type of videos, es una gran oportunidad de escuchar hablar sobre el Amor a los autos, seria increíble hacer una segunda parte!!
Im pretty sure that F1LM was my desktop wallpaper in middles school
As far as I'm concerned Ralf Lauren has the best car collection in the world, bar none. As a kid in the 80's, I didn't have the typical Countach poster, I had a Porsche 959 poster. Just like the car at 24:28. I love the old prewar cars in his collection like the 8C Alfa and blower Bentley best. Back in the late 90's I had a very nice 1/18th die cast McLaren F1 LM with opening doors. How about doing a episode on Jay Leno's collection? I know it's huge and impressive, and easily comparable to any other big collection. Thank you.

2nd only to the sultan of Brunei
The majority of his cars are housed in an unmarked, no window warehouse in Bedford Hills New York. There is a wall that goes around the complex with cameras everywhere. It’s really cool to drive by
I worked hauling cars for BMW in the late 90’s to the early 2000’s. Our company was contracted to haul both of Ralph’s F1’s to an airport that was rented for service. My buddy picked the cars up in NYC and took them to and from the airport. The BMW techs had flown in from Germany to work on the cars
Please do a video on the Sultan of Brunei! I can't wait to hear rbe wild stories and crazy prices!
My friend sat in that exact 250LM back in the 70s while it was undergoing maintenance in Sydney. It was owned and raced by Scuderia Veloce.
This is mind blowing. Amazing collection.
I saw a Bentley blower when I used to work at the Bentley factory, they have one in the factory museum. I happen to know the insurance on it in 2017 was £5million. (I believe this car was or possibly still is owned by Brian Johnson from AC/DC, could be wrong on this but I know he owns several cars in the Bentley museum)
His Bugatti Atlantique is bananas. I saw it at pebble a few years back.
I was at Manhattan Motorcars when Ralph personally came and picked up his Reventon Roadster. Beautiful car. Nice guy. He took a photo with my toddler son in his arms. I’ll find that picture and post on my Instagram/Facebook today.
