I use API Ammo Lock for my freshwater tanks. The difference between API Aqua Essential and Ammo Lock is that Essential is more concentrated so it's for larger tanks. I haven't really used a water conditioner on the small 3 gallon reef tank I have because I cycled the tank before adding anything.

Your tank is looking great. I did salt water for about 10 years but gave it up after getting married. Now into fresh water BUT I am thinking of starting salt water again. I have a 40 GB with a 20G sump. Hopefully in a few months i can start it. I will follow your tank here. Keep the videos coming please.

Your tank is fine,,nitrites will spike during early cycle,,I recommend microbacter 7 and order some pom pom red macro algae from algae barn,also Reef Nutrition Tiggerpods added at nite will help add life,, hermit crabs should of been your first additions before the fish...Show Patience to achieve success, my first salt tank was in 1975

A little tip before it happens. Place your heater horizontal in the tank. 2-3 inchs below the water level. If your nem gets moving over night he can stick to it and burn his foot. Happened to me a few days after getting mine. Took him a month to attach to anything after. Great looking tank. Tang looks happy. Shes small so she has some time in this tank. Under a year for sure but you can enjoy her for a few months at least.

Love your tank. New follower from South Africa. Clowns turn into monsters when they are older. Love them, will I keep them?No way. Get some leather and soft corals, low maintenance and growing fast.

Good pick ups fam, I do feel like u should grab another bag of sand and spread it evenly around the scape , as the tank cycles to bacteria will have and even amount of surface area. Also maybe invest heavyyyyy into a Cean Up Crew since you have 2Turbos already instead of getting hermits just invest in all varieties of snails coralline, nassarius and more Your doin good. "Fritz" Makes products for you instant cycle ur tank they also have Coral Max , a food for corals and anemones that's on shelf at petco less cloudy water when feeding plus it's has a shimmer snowfall affect.

Tank needs to be bigger .. you also should of copper treated that blue tang before adding it to display.. ich waiting to happen lol

Safeway? Are you pacific northwest brother? Also i love the scape of the tank. Would be cool to get a pistol shrimp with watchman goby since you have so much room for them to mess about the sand! Also I agree with the artificial coral in the background. Looks okay for now, but once you add in frags, def gotta go. I just started a nano tank, and started a new YT channel for my saltwater aquarium journey.

Nice so far keep it up, and fyi aim the powerheads up some so you're agitating the surface more. I learned the hard way with oxygen, lost some fish and a few corals. Managed to catch it soon enough, as soon as I adjusted one of mine up, things came back around.

Did you quarantine the fish? Some ppl do and some don't. i will be getting fish soon for for my fluval evo 13.5 gallon. It really is a great debate lol.

Looking good bro, you’re off to a good start. If I could give a little advice, slow it down a little. a reef tank is a long journey, not something that looks good overnight ya know? It’s a marathon, not a race. I wouldn’t add any more fish for a bit. Let the tank do its thing and stabilize. You don’t want to over due it. Also, I think that’s a condylactis anemone and not a bubble tip..

Just wanna say dont get Xenia its great for a few months as it grows fast as heck, but then it starts growing all over and you have to remove it every 2 days and it smells horrible and its very very very strong pungent

Not unless you want corals in here. The fish should do fine without one but definitely beneficial for corals

Hope you’re at least using reef crystals for your corals. With Regular instant ocean your corals will die within weeks. Doesn’t have calcium magnesium alkalinity trace elements your corals need to survive & thrive along with coral food

With younger kiddo’s I would store the products you bought behind a locked cabinet or some higher place where they cannot reach it. Don’t think it is very good if they taste that stuff or even drink it.

Don’t add a toner clown on with those two , add the wrasse thou good pest control fish but still dip your corals LPS/Softies , get some nori & a clip for the hippo too.

Dogface puffer 2. Raccoon butterfly 3. Rock beauty 4. Clown fish

I love comments like these because it just goes to show that there’s other people out here who are doing it and I know it’s possible obviously it’s a risk but if you’re OK with knowing what the risk is and your prepared for worst case scenario that’s all that matters.
