Bobby Eaton died on August 4th at the age of 62. He was 10 days shy of 63rd Birthday on August 14th.

It's TRUE man. And since Wheeler is the only one with hair, he needs to switch from trunks to tights. Blanchard needs to get a Bedazzler and put their initials on their jackets. Then the theme song is spot on.

Ftrs tribute theme is a truly great modern representation of this classic

My little brother and I loved The Midnight Express as kids! After they'd Wrestle, we'd play as them and Wrestle our teddy bears and pillows, pretending they were our opponents! I was playing Beautiful Bobby and my little brother was Sweet Stan. I used fly off the couch and my top bunk and crash onto the pillow and teddy bear. Sometimes I'd miss and hit the floor or my little brother. We were some of the only Black kids in our neighborhood who watched Wrestling, and it had a huge impact on my life and career choice in becoming a Stuntman and fighter and pro wrestler when I grew up. I got to Actually tell Beautiful Bobby himself when I met him a few years ago about how my brother and I used to play as them and Wrestle our teddy bears and pillows and even our cousins sometimes and he laughed so hard. He asked me, "Did you win?" 🤣

One of the greatest wrestlers (along with Double A Arn Anderson) to never hold the NWA World Heavyweight Title. Although Stan Lane would have been a great champion too

I see so much of Midnight Express in FTR. The in ring ability, the way they dress, talk on the mic, I just really hope FTR are a team that neve split.

And now we've lost Bobby....😔

Damn, that's a sick jam. When I was a little kid, I always thought the midnight express were the baddest dudes of all time and that they were basically unstoppable. I would really get into them versus the rock n roll express. Epic memories

Same. I always liked the heels better anyway, and Stan and Bobby were just perfection. Both smooth as butter in the ring, especially Bobby.

It's from the movie Midnight Express. They got in trouble for using it and had to drop it.

Best version of the Midnight Express. These 2 clicked and nailed it as a tag team. Held the world's and U.S. tag belts at the same time . No other team did that. HOF 2019 please....My favorite tag team(this version)....T

@@robertrodriguez787 Disagreed. Beautiful Bobby and Sweet Stan were easily the better combo. Sweet Stan had superior mic skills over Dennis and SO many more moves including the sweetest kicks in the business. The ultimate proof was the only tag team in NWA history to hold the U.S. and World Tag Team Titles simultaneously.

Didn’t even feel like a heel tag team. I saw more fans cheering them in the matches u think they were face. They went face temporarily when they battled the old midnight express managed by a young and fit Paul heyman

The Express were so legit and awesome that the fans respected them, even if they booed them for doing dastardly shit. That’s why it was so easy for the fans to start cheering for them when given the opportunity (the OriginalMidnights ambushing them and putting a huge beat down on them). Same happened with Macho Man in mid-1987. He was still acting like a heel and all bitter in his promos about losing the IC belt, but if you watch some of the TV matches (several on KZread), as the summer progressed, he was getting increasingly huge face pops for his entrances and finisher. The fans knew they were watching greatness.

@@peterp2153 at the 1991 survivor series, people were cheering for Undertaker as much as Hogan, maybe more so, and when Taker won, the kids in the front row was CHEERING and jumping like crazy.

@Big Bezel. For sure. I can't remember if it was 90' or 91, but that Clash of Champions 2 out of 3 falls for the World Title; Beautiful Bobby vs Ric Flair, is the night he should have won the belt. Flair should have put him over, just saying.

I dont think they are underrated 🤔🤔🤔. Are they not universaly recognized as one of the 2-3 top team ever??? Certainly in my opinion !! So innovative !! Perfect chemistry the 3 togheter with Cornette!!! They should be in the HOF for 15 years!! Unfortunately, its probably just Vince thats indifferent 🤔🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️😫😫😫😇🤘🏼

I would say FTR.

They really were fantastic wrestlers.
