WCR: Randy Meisner, Denny Laine, Spencer Davis, Bruce Gary & more - Director: Chip Miller
Музыка
This ENHANCED audio transfer is "The World Classic Rockers: Live." These are excerpts and highlights of a true super group in concert, directed and shot by award-winning filmmaker, Chip Miller. This version has band name ID and song text. The concert was produced and edited by Travis Miller for Red Hots Entertainment, in association with Desert C.A.M. Studios out of Burbank and Palm Desert, CA. Filmed with multi-cameras at the historic Ventura Theatre in Ventura CA, this amazing once in a lifetime band features original members from classic bands: the late Randy Meisner of The Eagles; the late Denny Laine of The Moody Blues/co-founder of Paul McCartney's Wings; the late Spencer Davis of The Spencer Davis Group (when Stevie Winwood was his lead singer); Michael Monarch, lead guitarist for Janis Joplin's Big Brother & Holding Company and later co-founded Steppenwolf; Nick St. Nicholas, a guitarist/vocalist for Steppenwolf; the late Fergie Frederiksen of Toto; the late Bruce Gary, drummer for The Knack; Kurt Griffey of The Lone Wolf Band; Steve Stewart of The Mother Lovers; and Gospel star, Rosilee. The original 2-hour plus concert featured 14 classic hits all shown here as excerpts. "As the director, and a musician myself, it was a blast to be working on one great classic song after the other, as well as an honor to be working with these greats," mused director Chip Miller. DP Bryan Greenberg was Main Camera Operator and Miller provided additional handheld camera with Cameron Cannon.

Randy played with many famous bands and musicians!!! So nice to see. Didn't know he knew so many of them. I think he liked that very much, he seems so happy and relaxed!! Many musicians liked him too, he was so popuar! He was famous all over!.RIP Randy ❤from Winny ❤
Randy has so much experience with many musicians, maybe it was even better to play than with always the same band.
Seems like every time I see Randy playing anything outside of the Eagles he looks so much happier.

The Eagles was a band of clashig talents and egos, and Randy was the most down to earth guy with absolutely no ego at all.
Randy Meisner's song, Take It To The Limit, is one of the greatest songs ever. And, one of my favorites also. When he would hit those high notes it would send shivers down my spine. Absolutely amazing!!! 🎶 RIP RANDY 🕊️❤🕊️

Sadly five have passed away, Kirk K. from Toto; drummer Bruce Gary from The Knack; Spencer Davis of The Spencer Davis Band; Denny Laine of Wings and The Moody Blues; and very recently, Randy Meisner of The Eagles. R.I.P. to all of these greats I had the honor of working with.
God this is great!! A flashback of my youth.
wow!!!

The concert is still on master broadcast tapes and needs to be digitized first. It's a 2-hour concert so the transfer would cost about $7500 to $10,000. We have a lot of our work pre-1995 still only on 1" master tapes in our archive.

They didn't even mention Randy's passing at their website, which is really crappy.

@@sandrawarren5303 Well that footage exists as does the full concert, but this was a preview spot.
I really dig this band. Tempo was rushed in spots but overall, great.
What a show! What a night. Is the whole show available to view?

Unfortunately, it all remains unedited as the group's producers ran out of funds. The whole concert exists but needs editing and post-production which runs about $15K or so. Also several of the stars have passed away, which means re-negotiating with their estates, which can be complex and expensive. We pulled together enough footage to create these promotional trailers to enjoy. Thanks for asking. Happy holidays, Chip (director/editor)
