You're absolutely right...when I was growing up, if a team was obviously much better than the other one, they didn't run up the score so much to annihilate them and actually embarrass them. But that's what they have become nowadays. It's equivalent to kicking someone when they're down. Same goes for men's teams nowadays as well. Such a shame. It's a narcissistic society.
