Since when was the abuse and neglect of small animals funny? Some of the comments shown were very obviously jokes, but the ones that likely could've happened left a bad taste in my mouth. The comment about wet tail specifically is a condition that can occur because of a dirty environment, stress, a bad diet, etc. Wet-tail is extremely painful for hamsters, and a hamster dying because of it doesn't scream, "Haha, this is hilarious! XD" to me. Those comments don't treat their hamsters like living, breathing things. There wasn't an ounce of remorse or dignity shown when commenting. The thing about dark humor is that it actually acknowledges that that thing is bad. I'll admit that when I was a kid, I didn't take the best care of my pets. Some of their deaths could've been preventable, and I still wish I could've taken better care of them. I would never, ever, parade around that death in a KZread comments section. Death isn't funny, I could guarantee you that if these hamsters were dogs, people would have a harder time laughing about terrible ways they've died.

I had a hamster named nutmeg, and me and my friend made him a lego house. We put him in, and he tried to crawl out the window, but got stuck. My mom ran to the neighbors to get clippers, and he was pooping everywhere. She came back, tried to cut him out, but he bit her and she accidentally threw him against the wall. He was knocked unconscious for a few seconds, then went insane. We got the window off of him, but he had this weird tumor thing on his stomach. A few weeks later we found him dead 🤭

When I was a child my sister's hamster bit my finger, as revenge I shut the door in his cage that led to its food and it died from hunger

My childhood friends had a nice hamster colony that covered 3 different generations and 2 successful litters. Most of them lived for 3+ years but these things really kicked each other’s asses. 2 had messed up eyes, one had mangled back leg and one had a would on it’s abdomen and all injuries from fighting. They all died one by one after living a few years as warriors. They were the gray and white ones.

I’d do anything to see coconut one last time. She passed from old age ;(

Found this while scrolling through youtube shorts anyways, since I'm bored Here's my story of how my hamsters died: I have two hamsters one male and one female the male one is Maki and the other one is Mai (my older sis watches anime alot so sis just copy the name Maki and Mai in the anime she watches) they are Albino hamsters with red eyes we bought them in December 10 2021 but the male one died in the morning and the female one died at night at December 16 2021, we really don't know how they died but I think the male one died because of exhaustion and sis thinks the female one died because of loneliness, me and my lil bro is crying in our room, anyways since we don't have a land to burry it we threw it on a hole near our old shop. R.I.P Mika and Mia you will forever be on our heart and mind 😔☹️😢💝

Hamsters cannot physically be lonely (they are solitary, Idk if you knew) and they honestly probably fought until they killed each other, and one just passed later. I’ve heard ‘oh they’re siblings, they wouldn’t do that’ but they would. They always will

My hamster ate everything including salmon, flavored chicken and even ramen, got dropped from like 6 feet, and was still fine. She eventually died in her sleep, probably due to old age.
