Wow... Glen and Wayne really harmonized well together and both are consummate performers! I was blessed to see both live several times. Wayne kept everybody captivated by playing over 13 instruments very well, and Glen never performed a bad show in his life.

Two legends right there who will never be equaled! Outstanding!

We all know what a fantastic Guitar player Glen Campbell was... What I had never realized about Wayne Newton is what an incredible Guitar player/musician, he is, until recently. You only have to see him playing Spanish Eyes on one of his TV specials here on KZread to be convinced. Two great talents.

And Wayne wrote in his autobiography how he and the late great Bobby Darin talked about working together, but Darin died about a year prior to this vid.

Glen Campbell was a master musician but Wayne could hold his own with just about anyone. He had decades of residence in Vegas.

I went and saw Wayne Newton Sept 27,2017. The story behind this song is, if you notice how intensely that Wayne is looking at Glen is because , Glen had a habit of putting not so nice words in the song so Wayne was making sure that Glen was singing the same lyrics.

We were blessed to have these people, I never thought we would ever get old,and lose them,and now look at this nation, what a shame

there are some things I miss and tv guide was one of them. you held it in your hand and flipped the pages. it as fun to look into the future and see what was coming up. there were fewer channels but the entertainment, as evidenced by this video of wayne and glen, was far superior.

LOL! His looks were ruined, sadly, with multiple surgeries to look young. It may hurt to look at him, but not because he is easy to look at anymore. Really sad.

They became the TV guitar in the 70s 80s and 90s but lost the throne to Taylor guitars. Most of glens ovations are in the Glen Campbell museum in Nashville I was surprised at how banged up they are fromI was surprised at how banged up they are from many years of use on the road. All those Knicks did not show up on television.

Thanks for sharing, Wayne in some ways is the "last man standing" now that Jerry Lee has passed. Wished though that he could have had some hits from the pen of Jimmy Webb, who wrote many for Glen.

They make a good pair of singers!

I watched Mr Newton for the 1st time up close in Morongo Casino in California on Nov. 2017. He is a good performer but his voice is no longer thesame with what i hear or has seen in KZread. Maybe because of age but he still plays his guitar well though. I still like him

Back then it was considered to be hot ticket for an entertainer to get a guest spot on one of the popular television shows. Specifically, one of the westerns. Sammy Davis Jr. had two on "The Rifleman" and they were very good. Sammy did his won fancy gun twirling tricks. He liked to practice it in real life. I think he was, "Johnny Ringo" in that episode.
