Wayne Dalton 9605 Dislike 👎
Well I'm not putting this door on x-mas list this year. I would rather have a Tickle me Elmo lol. It gets the job done, could be a blue tarp and dirt floors. Life is good people we are all very lucky and blessed.
Have a wonderful day and keep those Shoulders up.
Thank you!

I agree with not wanting to install a sub-par door or product, but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. As a fellow door guy, I enjoy your content!
Wayne Dalton 9000 series is a strange door. It's really the only one of a kind. There are so many installed here in S. California. Plus Wayne Dalton is right in my backyard. But I have always felt that this door is like the brand Apple. They create this ecosystem (iPhone/iPad/Mac) where they design their hardware and software to work seamlessly. I feel that what 9000 does best. So when I have a customer that has a Torquemaster spring system I explain that their spring was designed for that door series. Some see the value in that. Not many guys down here mess with Torquemaster. They prefer to convert to torsion. I think I'm one of the only guys that will offer a Torquemaster spring replacement. All in all is a good door. For a steel back it's definitely one of the lighter doors. Of course the R-Value may not be the best. But you still offers great insulation at a fair price. Keep up the great content.
Does the torque system work with the regular type of garage opener? I just purchased 2 new openers and I’d like to keep them
I’m in eastern NC and am heading to do a job of these doors. I always use Clopay. I’m not looking forward to it. Wish me luck
Only time I'll use a 9000 series is if I have to match an existing. Otherwise, I avoid it. I see their purpose, but it's just not something I'm a fan of. If you
this was interesting to watch ...........if you spent a couple days with someone experienced in Wayne Dalton your life on the job would be drastically easier and your opinion of the product installation would probably improve a bit. Not bashing or being negative just saying sometimes things in life can be easier with proper direction
The bracket that's on the top that the arm fits into to raise the door broke off our door. My husband tried to put it back on with the struts but after a few times of opening and closing the door the bracket popped off again pulling out the struts. Is this fixable or do we need to buy a whole new door?
Actually it’s a nice door.
I have two of the 9000's and Im not a fan of these wayne dalton's with the built in struts, it was a good idea but not a good design.
so do a door like this needs to be reinforced to use an electric garage door opener? got the door with a new built so looking to install the opener myself, thanks in advance!
It's builder grade garage door go up seper fast. In and out. My brother got tape of not sure what model is
Um, I like this door.
just installed a 9100 will not use another wd door iam going to go with ideal from Menards next time
Not a fan of wd doors. There is a reason builders love the doors.
I’m thinking of buying this door.... but I don’t know if it will fit. I only have 89 inches from floor to ceiling. How much room is required at the header with that torques spring ?
What about trying one of those roll-up kind f doors like storefronts or small loading docks tend to have? Maybe?
I hate the 9000 series doors as well. I hate the torque master. But I love when they break and we convert them over because there’s tons of money to be made in the conversion.
I install 2 to 3 9100s a day.
Use extension springs lol door only weights 65 pounds
Ended up with a customer that had me put one in. What a joke. Book was wrong as well as the only video I could fine
