Aimee, so fun to see you on here again! This looks like such a cool, whimsical technique! Almost like something the teachers would of had us doing in grade school (minus the hot plate)! ;)

Yes! The melted crayon smell is reminding me of kindergarten for sure!!!
So glad to see more of your videos, Aimee❤️🇨🇦
What a great and easy idea!! Now I need to go buy some crayons!! Thank you for sharing!
Thanks I was looking for a wax resist video, very inspiring and fun! Do more of these please!
Really fun! I tried the first part just making marks on the paper and it is so addictive! I used white too and loved the result! Great idea! Now to stain the papers!!!
You have the best ideas. Simple, affordable and uncomplicated. It really is playful the way you do things which resonates with how I like to do things. I think your art is sophisticated in the way you bring things together. And I love a muted palette with a pop! How cool was that neon pink. So good to see your work again. Yay! I tried it in a non stick fry pan on my stove on lower heat and got great results!❤
Love it! I am going to try this when I get home! I have India ink but I also have acrylic ink and alcohol inks. I am just gonna ink everything with all the inks and see how it goes! Thanks for the tutorial!

Stick your frypan on a burner. It works!
Girlllll, I love what you do with everything. You’re a free spirit and so inspiring. Now I wasn’t going to buy another supply and you’ve got me on the hunt for a hot plate/electric griddle.
So fun! I’m off to Goodwill to look for a hot plate ❤💐
Happy you're back! LOVE LOVE LOVE this! Gotta find an alternative way to "melt" the wax but got a few ideas.... Thank you!

I had so much fun with this one!
Is this hot plate a special encaustic tool or a little electric griddle? Thank you so much for the video and the inspiration!

Its a just a regular hot plate/skillet for the kitchen. You could used an electric griddle too.
