    I'm very excited about this plugin and the recent Abbey Road Plate Reverbs plugin. They sound very natural and dynamic without the nasty artifacts of a lot of other plugin reverbs

    Great review Michael. Got this wonderful plugin the other day from Waves ($29.00), and totally love it. Mind you, it's a bit of a CPU hog but it delivers amazing room and chamber reverbs. Each decision on this purchase.

    I found it to be very reasonable, but you can always freeze the track once you get the sound you want to save CPU

    This is one of the better sounding reverb plugins that's actually sound different than any other reverb plugin. The CPU usage is acceptable. I mean...you wouldn't complain about a Corvettes gas efficiency, right?

    John Chase I started having that problem too what I'm figuring is a solution is I'm going to have to use two laptops combined because I use Cubase and my system allows me to do that by running and controlling both computers through Cubase.

    Great video! It seems like the plugin is very well sounding, but it can't really make a long warm hall reverb, can it?

  • @mixingwithmike

    @mixingwithmike

    4 жыл бұрын

    Cheers! No long Hall on this one. Chambers are just room reverbs with a long decay time and the decay tends to be smoother than a Hall. If you parallel a delay return and feed the output of the delay into this, you can create a similar effect.

    I find this plugin useless and harsh, unless one is recording music from 60 years ago. Paid $29.00 but feel I wasted the money for nothing. There is nothing beautiful about its sounds, and I'm 100% sure that the reverbs and Delays that came stock with my Cubase 9 sound way better and more natural. The Abbey Road Chambers is a product of the technology 60 years ago, but today it sounds really poor to me.

  • @ER-ec4uq

    As far as I know, the original Abbey Road chambers no longer exist as they did in the 60s. They were rebuilt in the 80s or 90s and do not sound the same (or as good) as they originally did. The problem with this plugin is of course it's modelled on the rebuilt Chambers, not the originals.

  • @ashotakhverdian7815

    @ashotakhverdian7815

    @@ER-ec4uq Thanks, that solved the mystery why this plugin sounds completely unlike Abbey Road reverb sound of early 60s it's supposed to emulate despite Waves obviously putting real effort into modelling this. I'm surprised and disappointed nobody really mentions that it doesn't sound like the reverb on those iconic records at all. In fact you can make a reasonable approximation of that sound using almost any usual reverb but not ARChambers.

  • @guitarsolated

    @guitarsolated

    The included tape delay was the main reason I purchased a copy, so in my opinion, even if the reverb is less than a 100% reproduction of the room used back in the 60's, the vintage tape delay is a simple and effective powerhouse of classic tone and well worth the price if you have a budget set for additional delays in your toolbox, you'll find a use for this one.
