They were clearly getting home during a high tide and managed to get home safe before the tide came in any further and you’re trying to claim the mothers negligent for… keeping her daughter safe?

No thanks to mom 😢 at least she knows her safety depends on self. Mom held her hand but didn't pick her up. In that moment, that baby girl realized it's even human for themselves in her life experience. She ran 🏃🏽‍♀️ off leaving mom behind to save herself and was successful. She'll lead a life of a strong independent individual

In this video, what is the "lesson" you are referring to that she "should have learned" according to you? And would that lesson have been taught to her more effevtively had she been screaming and crying instead? She seemed fully aware of the possible dangers seeing as she hurried to safety the moment she noticed another wave was coming. But, once she realized that she was safe and everything was okay, she enjoyed the moment and laughed it off. I don't see a problem with that. In fact, screaming and crying would have most likely impaired her judgement and her ability to analyze the sitiation and make that quick rational decision. I'll wait to hear from you.

The mom (I assume, could also just be a relative) looks like she weighs 100lbs wet, vs the the kid who looks like she's close to 50lbs or even over. If the woman has picked the child up they both would've been bowled over. Instead the child kept herself up and centered.

Who doesn’t pick up their kid with a tide like that. It could easily pull that baby out to the ocean. She’s Spanish and instead of picking the kid off they just giggle like “mija this is so cute”. I come for a mixed family and it really be like this

Love the kid taking that in stride.

Remember guys they live off the beach, this isn’t anything new to them, this likely happens once in a while if it isn’t just a routine tide, and I’m sure there would’ve been weather warnings if there was a chance powerful waves would be hazard that far from the shore.

As a Japanese, it looks similar to a tsunami and is very dangerous. You shouldn’t underestimate the power of waves…

I would say she was concerned about her daughter but her daughter was already safe…so much negativity, smh.

I'm glad this comment section did not disappoint😭 I thought I was crazy when I kept insisting that she should have picked her up, especially after seeing how that first wave smacked her into a wall! She could have been pulled out with the tide, that mother is crazy!!

@@camilleizeshe wasn’t holding her hand the 2nd wave. There was no protection at all…my baby wouldn’t have been slammed into the wall to begin with. Mother was only worried bout her flip flops. It’s like she thought she could predict those waves and didn’t anticipate the large size. You can never anticipate the size of a wave, they have a mind of their own. Most ppl would’v waited or at least attempted to reach to pick up the child.

@@camilleize the wall could’ve done severe damage to that little girl. Have you never been knocked down by a wave? I see full grown adults get knocked down. That’s also how some ppl are swept back into the ocean. And not just kids.

Being that I'm from the pacific , the mother not holding her child for dear life gives me hella anxiety. I'm not bashing her I'm just saying I know what the ocean is capable of she could have easily been ripped away with that 2nd wave.
