    I'm the last part of that were you used a wet paper towel you know you can get like a small cup of water dipping your finger in it keeping your finger wet and run across there and get a better finish than that paper towel would ever do just like you would do if you was running a bead of caulking

    did you purchase an adapter that attaches to drain plug which then you can screw a hose into to drain out the garage? do you have a link to this adapter

    I actually designed and 3D printed one. The trouble is, the hose size is so small it would take an eternity to drain. I drain via a much larger hose, syphoning, then pour the last bits out of the drain. You could just use a towel at that point though.

    Do you have any tips on sanding before applying the JB epoxy?

  • @APEX.86

    @APEX.86

    Жыл бұрын

    I would apply masking tape first and sand only the area to be JBWW'd. You want a light scuff of very coarse sand paper.

    @@APEX.86 Right on. Do you sand in a circular motion or up & down or side to side? It's my first time sanding & I think I will be doing it by hand so I don't want to mess up

  • @APEX.86

    @@Madgjk I wouldn't worry too much about that. If every area has some cross hatching, you are good to go. Worry more about cleaning before application. Use acetone and do multiple passes. You want it reallllllly clean.

    @@APEX.86 Ok right on! Thanks for all the replies! I figured I was over thinking it per usual lol. I purchased acetone as well. So should I apply the acetone as I go along right after sanding an area or wait til I completely finish sanding the entire freezer to then apply the acetone?

    If you buy from Amazon, you can get extra and return what you don't use. The width and thickness of your beads have a huge impact on the amount used. It could be 6 tubes, it could be 16.

    Fantastic job on sealing with JB WaterWeld and thanks for this very helpful video. Wet paper towel at the end is a great touch. Looks like you were not wetting your gloves with water throughout application process and it didn't stick to your gloves much. In my case, wetting my hands was helpful but now I see that just as John Richter said, it's possible without wetting hands. Were you using Vinyl, Nitrile or Latex gloves and did you have to change gloves with each 2 oz tube of water weld? Thanks again for this video!

    Man I have this same problem w/ it sticking to my gloves. Half the stuff ends up stuck on the gloves. I'll try the wetting tip because the 'sticking to the gloves' is a real problem for me.
