Also would be a good idea to mount the support upside-down, so the pins don't get water on them

I saw people mounting the RAM mount upside down to have the pins on the top of the tablet. It avoids water to stay in contact with the pins thx to gravity. Maybe worthwhile being tried.

Have you tried stabilant 22a on the pogo pins? We use it in the auto repair field to protect computer and sensor connections from corrosion. Should be perfect for pogo pins. it has a NATO military part number too. In the USA the NAPA part number is SL-5

Yes, that protects the pinns from oxidation but it also collects dust, sand and debris when riding gravel or off-road in dry climate. I prefer what I have now since it's a dry solution.

Hi, Yes I’m very happy with it. We recently did a 1900km journey in Norway (see our latest movie) where we had a LOT of rain and it performed flawlessly. It charges a bit slow but has always done and I think it has to do with the Micro USB connection (tablet holder has a short wire with Micro usb in the end and then it’s hooked up with a longer cable that is ordinary usb in the other end. Tablet holder comes with this solution as stock so it’s nothing I have done)

Thanks! That's good to know for sure. I have several places with charging ports to experiment with on my bike. I will try a few of them. I actually have had similar charging problems by the way. My Quadlock USB A charger was actually discharging my phone half the time. I have since gotten a better charger.
