He was also right about their betrayal. By the time Naruto found out about the war at least 40,000 people had already been killed. Could have been less if they had trusted Naruto from the start.

storm 2 taught naruto how to overcome pain. storm 3 taught him how to overcome hatred. every adventure is a life lesson.

When I first saw this in the anime, I was confused on how Naruto could make peaceful with his dark self, who made a good point. But when I saw the scene again, I finally get it. Through all the pain he's endured, Naruto always had pride in himself that helped him remember he was worth something. It didn't matter what anyone else thought as long as Naruto trusted himself. When the village instantly accepted him as the Hero of the Hidden Leaf, they finally saw who he really is which Naruto already knew. That's why he forgave them with no hard feelings, because he always knew he wasn't a demon and now the whole village sees it. That means he can trust who he is as a person and let go his hatred. That shows what type of man Naruto is, the better one On a side note: This scene reminds of Michael Jackson's Man in the Mirror
