Materials List!
Magic Water was the resin I used (by Unreal Details LLC)
Woodland Scenics -Water Effects -to build the falling water, and also to build up the river.
Hot wires are from the Hot Wire Foam Factory
hotwirefoamfactory.com/home.p...
Rapids were created with Mod Podge Gloss glue
I used Craft Smart acrylic paint for painting
I used Bounce from the Hot Wire Foam Factory to strengthen the structure
I used Mod Podge matte to glue down everything. Also, to seal the pond areas
I used Loctite's Power Grab (Low Odor, for foamboard) to glue some of the foam pieces together
Model railroad foliage (medium green) from Woodland Scenics -for the trees and bushes
Model railroad foliage (Light green) from Woodland Scenics -for extra ground cover
I used Balsa Wood for the border

Beautiful creation. Whilst I don't ascribe to an evangelistic mode of being, I respect those who believe what they believe enough to tell me about it, and you did that with grace, respectfully. Peace

Very well done! Of course, I would have to build a bridge across it and lay some rails on it, but the entire scene is excellent! I also enjoyed the message and the fact that you are very open and forward about your Christian faith.
Fantastic diorama! Reminded me of my late grandfather who loved to talk about the beauty of nature and God. Do not be discouraged by the anger you have provoked, for they do not know what they do.

Thanks! Very true.
I'm a healthcare worker. I always marvel such a complex body can grow from a single cell in the womb. It is more foolish to imagine such miracle happens in pure chance than to believe there is an intelligent design behind all these. Thanks for the intermission and the courage to share it.
Excellent. Am a fairly new Christian and loved your message. Just started the hobby of making Diorama's so this is very informative. Will watch your other videos as well.

Whenever I see beautiful art like this, I always see God. Whenever I discover amazing channels like this, the more I find God. God's beautiful Creation talks to us through our senses that the intermission part is actually unecessary... but then this is your channel. Thank you and God bless you.
It looks very realistic. Great job sir, it's very inspiring, maybe someday I might try my hand in making one of those and hope that it looks good. He's just sharing his talent, and sharing his beliefs, everyone is entitled to that. No need to be offended.
Beautiful landscape. Ignore people complaining about your Christian message. Atheists never understand that God is in everything, so he is always relevant and on topic.

Really great video. I have only recently found these model-making videos, but the people, like you, making them have got to be some of the best people on the internet. I also appreciate the intermission message. I thought it was particularly well worded for a message of it's type and was executed much better than many others. On that note, have you heard of J. Warner Wallace? He has fantastic talks on the subject of the origin of genetic information that I think you'd enjoy. He is a retired cold case detective who converted to Christianity after studying the history of the universe as if it were a cold case murder. He's great.

This is like finding a treasure on the internet! I totally think about God when creating things. But watching other people put SO much time in, to recreate miniature dioramas of what God has already made makes me appreciate Him even more. But then on top of it you did an intellectual apologist analysis! Oh my goodness. I love this so much!!!!! I'm sure you know it's super hard to find people who want to put their all into their creative projects but then add trying to find people who love the Lord AND are intellectual is almost impossible. I'm so glad I found this video! So well spoken! I'm gonna show this to my husband. Outstanding video and the amount of time it took you to not only create the diorama but to FILM AND EDIT! Ur work is so appreciated in my book.

Love your work and your words of wisdom! I agree with what you said during intermission. If people can't see it in the spiritual, perhaps in thinking logically, they may find some answers. It's weird that most people would blindly believe in everything if you presented them with "studies" and "facts". I'd argue that we TRUST or PUT OUR FAITH to those in authority to give us the findings and answers to burning questions of mankind. We could prove those facts by doing the surveys and the studies ourselves but we place our FAITH to the government, the scientists, the experts. The opposition of intelligent design argues people of faith are completely blinded by faith, whereas people of faith argues all of us are guilty of such trait. It's just a matter of where we place it. I also commend you for unashamedly revealing what you believe in. I'm a Christian too but I feel so isolated and discouraged to profess that. Perhaps this will encourage me to be more open about my faith.
@LizardLandscapes
6 жыл бұрын
Thank you for this comment! Even if you're isolated, there might be a way to share your faith. I think everyone finds it difficult to share one's faith; sometimes we all have to think of different ways to reach people. I started doing this (Intermissions) around 2013, in part because my Christian videos didn't get many views. I encourage you to think outside the box!

Exceot, and here's a big thing you are overlooking DRAMATICALLY. Every single one of those studies and experiments and peer reviewed research you yourself can gather enough knowledge and test yourself. You put scientists on a pedestal as though what they do is beyond the normal person and in fact it isn't. Also just so you're aware, the stories of the bible were mostly taken from other civilisations. The oldest religious texts in existence are the Rig Veda which is hindu, so hinduism already predates your supposed creation. There's more evidence supporting evolution than there is for gravity at this point. And there are far FAR too many contradictions with the abrahamic religions. How do you, objectively, justify belief when every single rational and logical fact disproves it heavily and not one single fact supporting it has been presented to this date.
i like your video and the whole reason i watched was to get the christian message besides your beautiful piece , dont listen to these people who are angry with the lord , maybe they can change over time just forgive them

LizardLanscapes, I am impressed by your attention to detail and your willingness to explain the processes to us. I picked up some helpful ideas from this video; thank you for that! I am guessing that the title of your video has not changed since you originally posted it, so the complaints--some pretty snarly, don't have a lot of validity in my opinion. Maybe they are like someone who walks into a well-posted construction zone and gets a brick dropped on their head. Awesome video, thank you for sharing!
You can use very fine salt + clear resin for the appearance of flowing water: Its quite realistic: If memory serves me right; it was a known technique in many movies instead of CGI: This is a great video: Bravo: I just realized some "commentors" subbed; then unsubbed because although they love your video; your art work; your patience; pleasantness and talent; they dont like your religious view: How very "artistic" of them: I despair I really do: Back to the important bit:................. My only question is; did you +LizardLandscapes create this from self concept or was it from another known Scene?
@LizardLandscapes
6 жыл бұрын
I wonder if the salt can aid in creating a look of unclear, or cloudy water? I know mixing paint in with the resin will help with that, but always looking for other ideas. It was created from looking at reference pics, but no known scene. I'm working on one now that will be based on a waterfall from Yosemite park. Thanks for the support and comments!

If you use Epsom salts with any ultra thin [clear] adhesive you should be able to apply / find your own unique method: I know using small magnesium crystals [transdermal magnesium flakes] reflect of photons almost like natural water and are much less expensive if your purchase them for non artistic reasons: Oddly enough: Keep up the good work: Subbed PS: Excellent Conceptualizing!!

I found the sermon to be magical fluff but I would never berate him for adding it onto his video. As a Christian Atheist I'm very much on board with Christ's message but find young earth creationism and the like to be excruciatingly absurd. Maybe God set the universe in motion 14 billion years ago, but who should I think I am presume the first detail about this being's nature or intent? I very much enjoyed the model making however so well done that man.
Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful talents! I have watched many of your videos and gained from your tips and know how. Thank you, too, for your Christian message. I have been a Christian for 47 years of my 58 on this earth. Why is it so many religions of the world "preach" tolerance for their views but are filled with contempt for Christianity?. It is no surprise to me that folks are so harsh in their criticism of Christianity. God's word said it would be so. Rock on, brother and keep the faith!

I'll tell you why... Because us Christians don't believe in an eye for an eye therefore we are easy targets. All good when we wear the armour of God.
This was super impressive, haven't really been super interested in terrain before but this video made me think of some ideas to do!
Just amazed. Speechless
You have to start with an open mind and not retrofit your view onto a predetermined belief. Simplicity is the hallmark of design, not complexity. If you come at it from a blank slate and build up a model from only the evidence a very clear, undisputed picture is painted. I can't stress enough that the only way your going to be able to see it is if you tackle the problem with no extra baggage (and put in the hard work of studying and understanding the data). As soon as you start having to paint your own picture that is exactly what you'll be able to do. Any sufficiently complex problem will have lots of wiggle room to come up with solutions that fit any view that has been set up as an anchor point that all evidence must work support.
Keep up the great work which is a blessing from our Lord Yahweh! Preach it my brotha. Shan an Jah bless!!
Outstanding work!!!
What a great work!

Loved the video, and found the intermission pretty interesting. Though when you're talking about evolution - if you use words like meaningless or random - then you haven't understood evolution, at all - even from a very basic, childlike, fundamental level.
@williamstdog9
4 жыл бұрын
I understand Darwinian theory on a pretty deep level and that's what it amounts to, so not sure why your belittling comment. The theory takes SO much for granted, so I hope you appreciate that point, which cannot be refuted. What does it take for granted? In a word, ORIGINS. Darwin was trying to describe what all of us can easily see and admit: speciation. Over time. But what he totally took for granted was the ORIGIN of the "single cell" in the first place (not to mention Darwin and all scientist collegues actually believed that cells were "blobs of protoplasm" - which we have only recently found out that the cell is actually more complex than the most advanced Space-Station that we have created. When the words "random" are used by YOUR PEOPLE (Dawkins etc.) what they MEAN by that word is that there is no "creative force" or "creator being" BEHIND these evolutionary mutations. And thats what the evolutionist of OUR day say, so it's being unfair to this KZreadr to say that those are HIS words.
@Raits2
3 жыл бұрын
@@williamstdog9 On a pretty deep level, you say. But you still come forth with the tired old origins stuff. If you understand it on a pretty deep level then you should understand that it only concerns change. Origins is abiogenesis. It's like saying stellar nucleosynthesis takes the formation of stars for granted. It does not need it, we observe it regardless.
@johnnybgoodeish
3 жыл бұрын
@@williamstdog9 There are random aspects regarding evolution, William, such as random mutation, but the thing that drives evolution is natural selection, which is by no means a random process. In the century and more since Darwin this theory has been comprehensively added to and confirmed. Darwin actually had nothing to say about the beginning of life (abiogenesis) and perhaps we will never know exactly how it came about, but it is fascinating the study regarding this. Beware of confirmation bias though, if you really do want your beliefs to comport with reality. Nice model though!

I agree as well. I was enjoying the video until that nonsense was brought up. Lizard enough with the preaching. There is no need to bring religion into everything. There is no reason we can't all connect on the topic we are all interested in and leave the other areas be. I don't expect to change your mind on the topic and you sure as hell won't change mine in this area so bringing it into every aspect of life will do nothing but cause division. There is enough of that in the world right now. Let's just celebrate what we have in common.
