What an enticing product review...and what a spectacular art supply store. I order from Dick Blick.I live in a town that has only Hobby Lobby. Your art supply store is like looking in a bakery window at all the delicious desserts! Thanks for this video.

It’s amazing how many brands they carry in that little shop... a lot of shapes in the States carry a limited amount of brands

If im ever lucky enough to come to Singapore im calling ahead to have Clara prepare me a box like that!

Just when I thought I didn't need any more supplies... You opened the box at 5:28 and I may have drooled a little when I realized the two little holes next to the brushes are made to hold them upright while you paint??? I'm so curious about how good those included brushes are. Then I saw how many individual watercolor pan refills they had in that store, and the coliro/finetec metallic pans.... oh man, the art stores near me never have this variety of watercolors! Lovely store :)

I just started using my tombow dual brush markets as watercolor I used a flat watercolor brush to do a background I'm loving my tombow dual watercolor markers 💯👍

If anyone else was eying that Holbein Pro Compo Travel Kit with the brushes and water bottle at 5:28 it has been discontinued. I was bummed I looked all over for it online until I found a note that it is no longer made, so if anyone who has access to this store wants it - it might be one of the last ones in existence!

Thank you to help us to choose some gifts ! These are good ideas and nice products. This shop seems to be big and very complete.

I'm still trying to decide between Rembrandt and Sennelier for artist quality watercolor. And I still want to try out White Nights as well! So many paints...

Paints are tiny, get them all! In seriousness, you can justify more than one brand depending on what you use them for. For example I like sennelier tubes in the studio but they are too runny to take outside. I use different colours outside too as I tend to paint different subjects so clearly that means different paints....... Very easy to spend money that way.....!

They are all quite good. Get one that is easy and inexpensive for you to get refills and tubes.

I've reviewed them on my blog before. They are student grade paint but perform well. They get used up quite fast though

yes! ive seen those! they recently released a few new versions of the portable pallete with different colour combinations, like vibrant, muted and nature. i was really curious what your thoughts were on those color combinations. though now that im looking into it im not sure if these palletes have been released internationally yet.

I cant find these matterials here in brasil so must have to import them and become very expensive!!😓

Have you ever tried the Holbein watercolors? I would love to get your opinion on them.

Schminke portable wonder had me deeply amazed! :))) I wonder, what can go wrong with it? all things have drawbacks - big or small, but it's better to realise those in the very beginning and assess if it is that big a drawback for you personally. What drawbacks have you found in that box, as I don't see it in your videos..

It's a nice box. The integrated water bottle can refill the tray two times. Downside is there are only two mixing wells on the cover.

Teoh made a review on the Van Gogh ones (when they were sold as 12 colors, they added 2 free in the new plastic version) they granulate less than the rest of the same price range. I bought the Van Gogh box and i would def. recommend them! (with a pentel aquabrush set) edit: Rembrant and Van Gogh are the products sold by the same company in Netherlands (i would assume their watercolor quality is identical)

@@IAMSOUND99 Netherlands are crazy land , there are so many good art /pen /shops . Van gogh 12set is like 18euro , Rembrant 12set is 52euro xD likely because of the metal box . White nights 36set is like 43euro

@@Cortesevasive oh wow thanks then i must be wrong on the watercolor quality being the same if it jumps to 52euro but yeah they make awesome stuff, Van Gogh is my first set, didn't expect that good of a product under 20euro

I've not tried Rembrandt before. They are supposed to be artist grade paints (vs student grade Van Gogh), so they should be comparable to White Nights or better.

​@@IAMSOUND99 Well hard to say about quality , big brands tend to do price discrimination , the point is to make people pay the maximum they are willing to pay .While the manufacturer wouldn't reduce the quality standards nor downgrade the equipment so the diference in quality might be insignificant . .

Pricing really depends on where you buy them. You can research prices on dick blick, Amazon, Jackson's Art.
