Watercolor Landscape Painting on Location | Painting Outdoors in Nature
In this video, I will be watercolor painting a landscape on location, outdoors in nature. It is also called plein-air painting with watercolor.
This video is not so much about the step-by-step watercolor painting process, even though you will get to see this also, it is more about the experience of painting outdoors, connecting with nature, enjoying a moment of the day.
When it’s nice weather, painting outdoors plein-air becomes such a wonderful experience! Especially if you offer yourself the time to really enjoy the moment :)

A simple but poetically beautiful river scene...
I feel most peaceful when plein aire painting. I love to paint alone so it’s like meditating. I love the sound of birds and painting.

Although it’s quite a balance act with paper, paints and water, I do love painting outdoors. You are right. It’s being one with nature that makes it a memorable experience.

Yes, it’s a lot about finding the right balance to achieve nice paintings, sometimes we find it easier, sometimes it just doesn’t want to be found 😅

I really like your drawing style. The worst thing about painting outdoors for me is ticks. I want to go off the beaten path but then in the bushes there are often ticks. And sitting down isn’t much fun either when they’re around.
