Man - what a day that looked to be! So peaceful, and the weather appeared perfect! So fun. I used to be a long distance bike rider and I certainly miss that (got pretty sick with yucky cancer) but if I get to do it again, I'll get some saddlebags for my bike and bring along my art stuff... including the bubble bath!

Glad to see a helmet in your video intro. Back in the day I was a fair serious road cyclist and I had a TBI after a fairly bad crash. I am alive because of the helmet.

Finally! Finally I had an EUREKA moment ! And now I know clearly, why I wasn't able to sketch outside! Because I have never taken my cuddly toy nor steam iron with me... I shall never make that mistake again !!!!! Thank you, Paul, for enlightening me :) Greetings from Poland :)

Oh I absolutely loved this. Originally from the UK but live in the US and miss being able to wander through fields in the countryside as you can’t do that here it’s all hiking trails and private land etc. Oh to sit and paint in the countryside….thank you! ❤️🎨

It is so beautiful where you live, I used to love going out and sketching, but something happened to my feet where some months it is impossible to walk. I do have a large TV and I have been watching "walking travel videos" and sketching from them, also so much fun. I love your Videos.

Ah, your country is just so beautiful and lovely. Millions of motifs all around. I couldn't stop drawing if I was there. So gorgeous. I adore the British countryside and the sea and the Highlands further up north. No matter where you go there's beauty all around. Just love it 🤩

LOL 😆😂😭 My first plein air painting was a disaster. I made the mistake of not simplifying enough and spending too much time sketching in pencil. By the time I started painting it was time to go and I was overwhelmed with all the things I knew I hadn’t even touched yet. I love your sketches, esp. the horse & groom building! Thanks, Paul!!

Paul… so love your sense of humor. Yes sketching is critical 4 a great painting. Very important to keep drawing. Appreciate the reminder of plein air is 3D & we draw/paint to 2D. Thank you for your videos… has helped me get looser with my painting.

THIS is exactly what I want to learn to do. I'm new to watercolor and have never been that good at drawing. I used to oil paint about 40 years ago. From now on, I'll be taking all of my tools with me....well, maybe not the ceramic chicken, or the iron...But all the essential drawing and painting tools. You have inspired me. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
