@@MiasSketchbook she also has a channel here on KZread called Watercolor Snacks. I also would like to suggest a set of Mixed Media Pads I think you will really like! I’d never tried Hot Pressed Paper so I bought one of those tiny little watercolor pads in the craft store and I really liked it, I think u showed one in the watercolor kits that you get. I looked on Amazon for a Hot Pressed Pad or Sketchbook that was reasonably priced and ran across this set of sketchbooks by Sophie. I’d never heard of the brand but in the reviews ppl were raving about the. The Sketchbooks are labeled Mixed Media Pads but the weight is the same as watercolor paper so I gave them a try because u get THREE books for 17.00! They are sooooooo nice, I’ve since ordered two more sets. The paper is Hot Pressed Watercolor Paper, smooth but performs just like Cold Pressed Paper! It takes layers, lifts and you can use any kind of medium on it without it buckling. I like to sometimes add colored pencil accents or inks and I use Gouache and lens too. I always say not all mixed media paper is the same! That's great you found something that works great for you! I actually have those sketchbooks on my Amazon wishlist, I'm hoping I can try them out eventually. I would really like to use it with my alcohol markers.

I've always preferred Arches watercolor paper. Another favorite is Medeen, it's very similar to Arches but costs much less.
