Water Sifu Bonus Math - How Many Gallons Needed to Paint the Outside of a Tank

Another "Bonus Math" video. Today we cover this question:
"How many gallons of paint are required to cover the outside perimeter and top of a round tank that is 28 feet high and whose diameter is 14.5 feet. A gallon of paint covers 200 square feet."

    Ok Alex... First off, you've got the year wrong. It's August 17, 2021. LOL All joking aside, I appreciate the kind words. I'm not sure if you are referring to these KZread videos, or my podcasts, but I still stand by all the videos. It's not like the basic principles in the industry have changed much. A pump is still a pump, a well is still a well, treatment techniques are still the same, methods of calculating dosages are all the same. This problem in this video would still be calculated the exact same way, etc. If something were to change, I would adjust the video properly. As for the audio podcasts themselves and the website, I am still active with the website and the information is still current. Do not let the date of the last podcast post fool you. If anything should change from time to time (and I have already done this a few times) I simply edit and re-upload the original media file to my media hosting site. Although this causes changes to the audio podcast you listen to, it does not effect the original release date of the podcast or post.

    I really should... lol, but it totally took a back burner. I didn't really feel like the interest was there for continuing education hours, and I felt like the site itself was doing great as is for helping people with their exams. But I should either make them or remove the "coming soon" part. I'll make a decision one way or another in the next week or so. Thanks for bringing that up. Currently, the site offers 12 hours, but at least four more would be really helpful to people with certification renewals.

    Can you do wastewater stuff?

  • @TheWaterSifu

    @TheWaterSifu

    2 жыл бұрын

    Hey Blake, the best way to reply to that is just to share this question from the Q&A page of my site. "Do You Have Any Wastewater Specific information?" I have talked with many people searching for wastewater training information and always feel a little bad in telling them that this site does not focus on wastewater. The entire focus of this material is on potable (drinking) water treatment and distribution. Although I am very highly certified in potable water treatment (T4) and distribution (D5), I have never worked in wastewater, nor do I hold any certification in it. I do know from talking with people in that field, that many people in wastewater have had very good success with my water math courses, especially with learning the math basics, but having never worked in the field I can’t personally vouch for it. I also know from seeing some wastewater practice questions that there are certain problems they will not cover. Unfortunately, having never worked in that industry or tested for a certification, I’m not familiar with any place to refer people to for that information.
