Water hole wildlife behind our home!

Үй жануарлары мен аңдар

WNC Wildlife: Critters at the home-made water hole! Bears, bobcats, coyotes, red fox, gray fox, raccoons, hawks, pileated woodpecker, possum, etc. Easy to set up! I went to Tractor Supply and purchased a 15 gallon water tub used typically for farm animals. Then I dug a hole alongside a wildlife trail behind our home, filled the tub with water, planted a few ferns and positioned a trail camera above the site. I use a sponge and bucket to clean the tub once a month and I leave a hose nearby for refilling. After a couple of months, most of the wildlife becomes familiar with the water hole and begins to feel at ease stopping by. Trail cam wildlife videos filmed on a single acre of land behind our home in Hendersonville, NC - / @wildlifebehindourhome

I'm north of you in South Asheville at 3000 ft. Your video inspired me to build a water hole last week. I chose a Rubermaid 30 gallon tub and spent an afternoon digging. Not easy. This morning the tub is completely removed to the side with bite marks from a bear all over it. The tub was full and flush to the ground. The strength that it took is amazing. The motive I'm just unsure.
