    Really useful tips, Jim. The AI for the water detection is most impressive! When I first heard about this tool, I thought it could soften/blur the water too. But of course you can do this with the Blur tool. You could mention this in a future video, as the Blur tool is relatively new and some people may not know about it.

    Hey Jim, Banff is literally a 4-hour drive from me. I noticed you didn't use the Contrast or Depth sliders, how come? Did you figure out what they do? It took me a bit of playing but I think I got it. More or increased contrast gives you more and deeper color saturation. Less contrast makes it softer. Depth, which is in the refinement tab I noticed that taking it to the right took the effect away from the dark areas in the water, making it a bit more realistic looking. Depth would have worked on the mountain scene with the reflection, no need for the color tool.

    Thanks Darlene and I would go every week if I lived that close! I don't see how you can get anything done. I would just want to go see the mountains and scenery all the time.

    @@JimNix Well a slight deterrent is that hotels are $$$$ in Banff and area so there's that LOL. I'd go broke if I was there every weekend. Even the camp grounds are booked a year in advance too.

    Looks good Jim. Grea tutorial as usual. Unfortunately, Water Enhancer doesn't pick up water on any of my photos with water. I've already cleaned out LN19 and reloaded. Still the same problem. And Mask AI doesn't work either.

    Very nice. I typically only use Adobe LR and Photoshop because I only edit my images as smart objects, but you have influenced me to re-subscribe to Luminar and use it as a Photoshop plugin. Do you have an example of using it on water in astrophotography? Chris

  • @JimNix

    @JimNix

    thanks for watching Chris and I have not used it on water in astro, mostly bc I have very few astro photos - it will be interesting to see how well it picks up water in a photo that's so dark
