Gigguk reacting to his own content instead of other's is actually so genius. Not only does it not steal other's content, it also boosts his own videos while getting free content.

Frieren actually encouraged me to start talking and interacting again with people. Like yeah I'm still hella awkward and having difficulties expressing myself (and therefore, having trouble connecting to others) but if I don't do it now, eventually the time will come where I can no longer do that. For Frieren, there's heaven, where she can still meet Himmel. But for us, we can't really do that in this life, I only have this once chance to be with the people that matter to me most and to connect with them. ❤

I've totally recommended trigun before....but it also was kind of a surprise for me and a group of friends who found it on dvd at walmart I do believe and we were like huh whats this? To then watch it together and realize it was actually fucking awesome.

I would've love to see what did cutout from the list. I did expect some A tier shows he rated like Overtake. As a viewer, I don't mind if the video was too long but I guess its a bit too much for them. The editing team did a great job in the video.

I really like the original Trigun. When Stampede came out and it had all these changes to the characters and story I was just really disappointed. However, I kept watching it and by the end I was completely sold and hoping for a season 2. I've never had a show turn my opinion around quite like Stampede did.

98 was amazing! Though, I’m thinking Stampede is gonna turn into a prequel because the characters look younger and certain events don’t happen until the end. Next season will be Trigun. Although, probably closer to the manga version of Trigun. 98 was actually majority anime original content. There wasn’t much released from the manga at the time so the anime did its own thing. I think the author also gave a rough idea to work off from what they were planning for the series.

Highly recommend damn reincarnation and the beginning after the end. A few other ones that I enjoy is Trash of the counts family and 66,666 years advent of the dark magician. All of them are manhwa. 💖

I love how ppl on bilibili (a Chinese website which has a lot of manhua adaptations that garnt loves) say about Gigguk's Best of Anime 2023 video: "you can tell Westerners generally don't have good taste and good standard of appreciating the art because Gigguk's list doesn't have a single original anime from 2023 (for example BanG Dream! It's MyGO!!!!!). And you can tell Gigguk's taste is very Westerner cuz his list is all about adaptations and he don't like music and idols and band girls.

Nah Gigguk saying that JJK and Demon Slayer are the same in terms of writing is wild. The reason that Shibuya was able to go so hard on the action is because, and I bet you won't expect this, they put a lot of focus on the action. It is an arc that pays off on what was previously set up. So yeah, I would say only Yuji and Mechamaru got really good character focus in this arc, but that's by design. You cannot forget the Hidden Inventory arc which gave a ton of great characterization to Geto and Gojo. I like Demon Slayer as much as the next guy, but it could never even come close to making something as well-written as Hidden Inventory.

I think many people just don’t remember all the set up season 1 had for the pay offs in this arc. Though I would say later on the writing quality decreased a bit since it went from a character focus story to a plot focused story.

The massive problem with the haters of Trigun Stampede is that they have no reading comprehension, watch and read everything with their eyes and ears closed, "shallowly" if you will, and are usually just the '98 anime adaptation casuals. They think they're on the high horse, grumbling about the changes from the "original" when they're literally wrong. They refer to '98 anime as the original, which is not, and never will be. They have no idea what the true and real story, themes etc. of Trigun really are, which you can find only in the manga, from WHICH TRIGUN STAMPEDE PULLS FROM. Of course they're absolutely deaf to all the references, of course it's usually new fans and old manga fans who enjoy and appreciate Trigun Stampede to its full potential, because we know, we SEE what a great love letter Trigun Stampede is to the true original story, which is manga, again, not '98 anime adaptation that is nothing but a sorry excuse. '98 anime adaptation... I still respect the charm in its artworks, music and iconic eng dub but that's about it. It destroyed the characters, rewriting them: Vash got somehow made into a disgusting and pathetic perv, way more naive and less firm, less intense. Wolfwood lost his grittiness, his roughness, his brutality that he veils himself to hide the kindness, most of his unhingedness and dirty-mouthness. Or the fact that he's been experimented on also is not involved. The true Nicholas D. Wolfwood is an emotionally constipated guy who'll put whole ass tabasco on your torn-up face because you hurt Vash (yes he really did that) AND with an unnerving smile. As for Meryl and Milly (why the hell did they make Milly so ditzy? She's smart and observant in the manga), in '98 they're absolutely downgraded to love interests, which, ew, the romance was so forced and uncomfortable... In the manga there's nothing like that, no, the focus is Vash's and Wolfwood's relationship. AND KNIVES?! They turned my guy into a Disney villain 😭 which, yes, hilarious ngl ngl, but that is not my Knives. My Knives is sadistic, very emotional, strong, originally a kind and naive soul that believed and wanted to live together with humanity but got horridly betrayed. Now, don't get me wrong, firstly I'm aware that at the time the anime didn't have all the material, hardly any, while it was being made, but for all those haters to revere it as this something perfect and blah blah, is making my blood boil. And secondly, I'm aware that some of what I just said also can be applied to Trigun Stampede, but this is different, this is supposed to be wholly new story and the characters are set to be more immature and have a room to grow, the changes that have been made fit whatever studio Orange is going for and they have my full faith. One day... We will get 1:1 adaptation of Trigun and Trigun Maximum, I believe it, but for now I'm very excited for season 2 of Trigun Stampede. I cheer for it and appreciate what studio Orange is doing.

What’s wrong with enjoying both? Why be so hateful? It’s so sad the remakes usually bring so much hate between the fandom even as they also bring more fans into the franchise. Between manga fans, first anime fans, and fans of the new anime. It’s the one downside of remakes/revivals.

What pisses me off even more if they do this and THEN hate on Trigun Stampede. Utter close-minded losers... I think it's absolutely wonderful if you enjoy all the iterations, absolutely, I am just tired of hearing critique towards Trigun Stampede and none for '98 anime adaptation, so I just...let out my frustrations in this comment.
