I saw this in the theater with my sister, and her reaction to Carlisle's beheading was unforgettable. She almost screamed out loud.

31:04 Esme had first met Carlisle when she'd tried to kill herself by jumping off a cliff- she was brought into the hospital and he saved her by turning her into a vampire. She'd tried to kill herself because she was in an abusive marriage and her baby had just died. But what Meyer seems not to have released is that vampires are kind of mentally stuck in the moment of their transformation so she was actually always still a little sad over her baby. That's why Jane and Alec are always willing to hurt people - even when they were human they had some sort of mental abilities and Aro found out about them and decided to visit them again when they were no longer children and therefore wouldn't be breaking the law when he turned them, but when they were teenagers the people from the town had declared them both to be 'witches', had killed their mother for trying to save them and had just started burning them, Aro got there before the flames could do any real damage and killed the rest of the town before turning them. In that moment Alec had wanted the pain of everything that had and was happening to stop and Jane wanted them all to hurt, so their abilities took on the character of what they wanted, and now they're still stuck in a 'they deserve to be hurt' mentality.

32:20 Marcus's mate was Aro's sister and they were going to leave the Volturi together, but Aro found out and killed his sister to keep Marcus there. Marcus's ability is to sense how deep people's relationships are, which doesn't just mean love but also means he knows where a persons loyalty lies and how strong it is or whether or not it can be bought off. That's why he was useful to Aro. He's wanted to die since his mate died.

Not to mention that Marcus is basically trapped, and so to prevent him from leaving or killing himself that's where Chelsea's gift comes in. Since her gift is influencing emotional ties so imagine being forced to be loyal against your will, now that is sad to me as well as never finding out your own leader killed your lover.

The reason why Marcus was ready to go is that he lost his mate and was basically super depressed and just done

he actually was under influence of Chelsea, a vampire who bonded him to Aro and Caius after his wife died, because Aro was afraid of losing power..and she actually has to be close cause its like a drug her powers

They can still spread the word. The vision was that even though Alice showed them the truth, they still wanted war. Aro only stopped cuz he himself died, not because the child was harmless to the vampire secret. Too many vampires present, not to spread the word of what might come in the future. Aro knows who hes dealing with now, he will pick them off 1 by 1, it would be madness not to be prepared for that. But then again this is twilight

I’m not a big Twilight fan(it’s fine for those that are...just not my cup of tea), but I’ve got some fond memories from this one. Sadly most have been scrubbed from KZread now because they showed the in movie theatre screen image(there’s still a few though), but this movie had reaction vids on par with the red wedding way back when. Opening night when no one knew the twist yet, and most of the audience was die hard fans who’d read the books and thought they knew what to expect...and suddenly characters they thought were safe start dying left and right and they are freaking the hell out(some are crying, some are screaming...it’s just pandemonium)! Those few minutes before it was clear it was a dream/projection were hilarious.

Great reaction! The heightened pregnancy emotions from Jane just dialed up the fun! She actually had me tearing up a bit over the Bella-saying-goodbye-to-Renesmee scene (even though I'd previously seen the movie). A little Couvade syndrome (look it up) I guess. Lol

Great rewatch. What was crazy is the fans were just as surprised about the battle as everyone else. There was a hint in the book about a battle but was only an Alice vision…no details of it. I was watching the Twilight Effect podcast and it was said that if Aro lived in Alice’s vision he probably would’ve kept the fight going even if his ppl died. As a true twihard…there would’ve been an uproar if they made the battle real and not a vision. It’s great to see ppl watch it for the 1st time and enjoy it.

Enjoyed this reaction so much! If you read The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner you will also understand many aspects of the Volturi's behaviours and decisions; even with this movie, there are very small hints into them not making big moves because of things that Alice and Edward know about them, the books make a lot of things clearer,as all books do, but Bree Tanner gave much more insight into many of the Volturi's behaviours

this reaction is so great... i really enjoyed watching it. as for the Volturi member who wanted to die, Marcus, he’s basically stuck there as Aro has another vampire who has abilities to compel him to stay loyal. Marcus was married to Aro’s sister and they wanted to leave the Volturi so Aro had her killed. also in the book it’s more of them talking out and explaining Nessie so i think they wanted to make the end more impactful by showing that vision. in the movie theaters we all went insane when Carlisle’s head was ripped off cause we all knew that wasn’t supposed to be the end of the book.

Isn't it funny how you just lose it over things you might have been okay with while not pregnant! Lol. There's actually 2 shows we filmed while I was in labor. One of WandaVision and one of Dr. Who -- I'm wearing a bright blue long sleeve. It's so funny to watch now, it's CRAZY that I didn't know I was in labor. 😂

just to explain why the volturi actually came..it's not really what Jane said. It's not cause of they think that Cullens are getting more powerfull. It's actually that they want gifted vampires they lack in the Volturi (Edward, Alice, Kate, even Eleazar). They always find a way to put some crime on the group where such individuals is or are, even if there is no proof, and there is a vampire ( was it Chelsea?! who feels the bonds of relationships, in families and so when the gifted won't come willingly, they make Chelsea use her powers to disrupt the gifts, and then accuse the non gifted of the crime and find them guilty, so they can get rid of her. And actually Marcus of Volturi is under Chelsea's influence ever since he lost his wife, cause Aro wants him there.

In the book there are several chapters of talking. It works in a book but not for a movie, so that is why we got the battle sequence.

Started last night when I started my shift and just finished them Loved your Reactions I love these Movies and not ashamed to admit it from Da Chi

there actually was a scene, a longer version before the wolfs vs. cullens fight at the end of BD1, where edward punches jake after he finds out he imprinted

Oh, Jane is so emotional, so cute!!! Thank you, guys, for this experience! It was nice to watch all those movies with you. As for me, I watched the first movie on TV, then read the book, but decided not to read the next one in order to enjoy both the movie and the book. I became the fan, joined the most popular russian unofficial web-site about Twilight Saga (books and movies). But when I watched the 2nd movie in the cinema, there was a girl behind me, who was spoiling like all the beginning of the film. I was so upset! So, I've decided that I just couldn't wait until the next movie to read the rest of the Saga books, so I surrended and read them all. And I was so into it, I actually helped the founder of that site to translate the interviews, songs, scripts, even that little spin-off book "Short second life of Bree Tanner". I found the music score of the movies and played some pieces on the piano. So, you see, fan! Well, the 3rd movie was a little of frustration, but mostly because of the poor russian (official!!!) translation! OMG, it was awful. As I knew the original script, and I was waiting for one particular scene on the screen, and... it had been cut off! Oh, God!!! So, I realized that it was too much, I should step back and just watch the next movie, and tried to maybe forget the story to enjoy it. And it worked at least partially. So, when I was watching the last 5th movie in the cinema, and when that epic fight scene started I was like: "Oh, no, this is not how it was in the book, no, no, no! Did they decide to change the ending in the movie? No, too many good characters were killed off, but it's impossible! It must be something like... Alice" I actually understood that cunning twist, and all those thoughts didn't let me fully enjoy and appreciate that super cool scene (and it was great decision to show it all as in the book there was no actual fight, there was some kind of mind fight, fight of the special abilities of Bella, Jane, and others, but inside their minds). I managed to appreciate that scene only when I watched it for the second time! But back then, when it was over, and everybody in the movie-theatre realized that it was just Alice's vision... there was silance for 2 seconds and then some guy (!) said: "Oh! Thank God!" And we all like: "yeah, bro! It was tough!" Anyway, thank you for being so positive. Yes, you said what you didn't like about the movies as well, but mostly you were very positive and emotional. And it was so contagious, I dropped some tears too! When Jane said about reading "Midnight Sun" and that dedication to all the readers from Stephenie Meyer, I had goosebumps... I (of course) has already read it in original (all the previous books I read in russian translation first, and then found the originals). Now, I just like listening to the audiobooks of that Saga from time to time (in English, of course). It is still a part of my life, though I can't say that I am a real fan now as I used to be. Sorry, for such a longread instead of normal comment, but I just wanted to share all that with you. Hope, you'll read it someday! :) P.S. Billy Burke (Charlie - Bella's father) is imho the best actor of the Saga, very charismatic!

First time my family and I watched this movie, we were all just as equally devastated and emotional over the deaths of everyone in the final act. When they revealed it was just a vision, we were all just kind of mad that they pulled an emotional one over on us. We had all gotten attached to certain characters and had to watch them "die" only for them to say "ha, psych! Gotcha!"

Yeah I felt similar about first time watching - but then I was able to go back & watch it again & just pay attention to the fighting tactics & strategy knowing that everyone we know & love in the film survives... Once I got over the shock, it actually made me love it more.

I'm pretty sure Jacob's dad Billy Black was Charlie’s best friend, not Harry Clearwater.

I love how when Carlisle is killed (tragically) they don´t give a f0ck about what could happen if they face vulturies and battle them.

the reason for the cgi face is because they wanted to keep mackenzie foy the actress who plays the girl face throughout the movie.

This fight vision was not in the books. They added it in the movie.

The girl who played Renesmee isn't CGI

The daughter once child age is Mackenzie Foy. Shes been in a few things
