Congrats on promoting one of the most ridiculous and irresponsible ideas I’ve seen in a long time. You know full well that people will try to watch content while in motion. Distracted drivers are the number one cause of death and injury on the highways. Cars are designed for transportation and not idle entertainment. CarPlay is specifically designed to block KZread, movies and manual texting to AVOID visual distractions. Whether it’s the passenger or driver, you can survive a ride without the need to be constantly entertained. Really, dude, consider buying a clue if you can’t find one for free. There’s a special place in hell for those who attempt to monetize this kind of stupidity.

I've had my SUV hooked up for plug and play movies and music videos or any video for over 18 years and it has NEVER been so distracting it caused even a moment of fear. Now attempting to call someone or text back, I agree is totally dangerous. You sound like a jealous control freak that doesn't even have navigation or a display screen in your ride. Perhaps consider removing your comment as it seriously makes you sound like a total douche. Special place in hell? Seriously? I feel sorry for you.

He specifically stated not to use while driving. This is great if you drive a lot and sit a lot in your car for work, or roadtrips for passengers. Just pay attention to the road

As a traveling salesman this is the best mod I’ve made. Being able to eat a lil medical chronic & watch documentaries makes the longer drives more bearable.

For those that don’t know you Can also do that with jailbroken iPhone device And customize look and layout and what app you can use watch etc

Not sure why products like this imply you’ll be driving and watching videos, it’s possible to park and want to watch things. As for me, yes I’d use it while driving! 😅

I've played music videos and movies in my SUV for 18 years and it isn't distracting to me. Texting or looking up someones number for me is! I can testify to that. I've never been pulled over for it either. Did you buy it and do you like it?

Awesome video. Easy mod if you are into watching Netflix, or KZread but in many states if you get caught is illegal. Thinking is more for those who are going to be responsible and follow through. Too many distractions these days but like you said maybe if you have kiddos to calm them down to watch something on a long trip. Price is reasonable and then it needs to be connected to wifi so you might used all your hotspot in a few videos. Not sure hopefully you get to use it and review it on long trips see if is worthy enough.

It very well might be illegal but let’s be fair just pull a cable and the cop sees nothing. Not saying you should Netflix and drive but unless the cop is looking in your window no one will say shit. Personally I don’t care about movies I want KZread music playing while I’m driving. Some lofi on a nice background while I’m driving through long Texas roads. That’s it right there.

This product has terrible reviews on Amazon... How has it held up?

Initial review of the AI Box Lite that gives Uconnect wireless capabilities and lets you play videos on your screen. It’s just okay. As far as wireless capability goes, it’s adequate. The car’s Bluetooth doesn’t have a slight delay, but this thing does. It’s annoying. The method it uses to connect to the device DRAINS the battery a lot. So unless it’s short trips… you’re still plugging the damn phone in. The videos are slow. I’m going to give it some time to see if maybe it was a fluke, but I’m not hopeful. Overall, I wouldn’t buy it again.
