@@ajamesc55 Why go camping? Because there are alot of activities you can do like hiking, walking, hanging with the family. The video didn't say use this device 24/7 every minute, every second. Just an extra option if needed. Thanks for watching the video.

Glad there is a way to disable video playback when in drive but it should be on by default...last thing we need are more people distracted while driving.

Finally got the issues worked out and the AI Box works great! Android users: Make sure to enable Android Auto Wireless.

Hi thank you for watching and the kind words. Yes you can download apps. It already includes KZread as a default, I haven't tried those other apps you mentioned thou.

Is the USB cord only used to power the box? Can i use a longer charging cord to be able to hide the box under the dash or windshield carrier ?

Thanks for watching, I had some issues when using other cord but you could try and revert back to the old one if you have some problems.

Haha yes you can download apps from android auto or apple store. Sundog is such a funny name that rhymes with a lot of things lol.

Does the truck have to have the Tacoma wifi set up or can I operate this purely on my phone's mobile data hot spot?

Thanks for watching my video! In regards to your question I'm not sure since I don't have the entune system, however as long as your system has the wired carplay working on it right now, this will work as it replaces that function.

Have you been able to get the AI Box to update to the new Android Auto UI? I stopped using it a while ago, but haven't tried to see if I can get it on the newest version of Android Auto.

I dunno. That's a tough one. But my list is the S&B intake, remote tailgate, cat shield for the catalytic converter, OTT Tune, front camera install, to name a few. I think the OTT tune is my favorite maybe. Makes the truck no longer hunt gears and more drivable

I think having my wifi on with b/t & mobile hotspot conflicts with trying to connect hotspot. I own a 2021 SR5... so I'm enjoying your videos. You just gained another subscriber. I will say the Android auto works seamlessly.

@@aggiepride9 Hi! I'm glad to hear the android auto works great. Hopefully the wifi connection gets better. What I found on my android phone is to turn the "turn off hotspot automatically" off. I found that that's causing my hotspot to reset all the time. After that my connection was great (although randomly the AI Box Lite turns off the wifi at times so you have to turn it on in the dash). I'm glad you enjoy my videos. Always nice to hear that it helps! Can't wait to see what you do on your SR5 in the future!

@@aggiepride9 In regards to your question, I tried two methods. One was to just plug in a usb with a movie loaded to it, and one is to download it straight to the AI Box Lite from a computer just like an android phone (USB to USB connect). They both worked just as great!

Hi thank you for watching! I'm not sure why yours don't have those apps.. I suggest contacting the manufacturer. Mine had Netflix as part of it automatically and you can download the other apps. Have you tried to download then through the ai box lite?

As always a great entertaining and informative video. Just the product for which I was looking. And ordered one from your link. It arrived incredibly fast. I am, however, hesitant to comment. The interface is totally different, no biggie. But Maps and Phone are missing from the Apps function, which are the main reasons I wanted this, to have the phone wirelessly connected in Android Auto. I've contacted One Car Stereo and will let you know what they say. Thanks again for your vids.

Problem solved-Kind of. They finally responded to the emails and all they said was "it seems the box is not compatible with your vehicle" and said I could return it for a full refund. BUT, now comes the catch. Doing a deep dive on their website prepping for a buyer beware video I found something that should have been front and center on the instruction booklet: One must ENABLE "Wireless Android Auto" on one's Android phone. Wish I could say this fixed it but the unit was already dropped off at the post office.

I just got a instructor manual that's it so where do I get a password to reset I don't see one. Thank you

@@themandiyrin I'm going to send mine back it's not working with my android auto in my 2022 Rebel and it keeps on saying if I want to connect to apple car play not android auto. I don't know what's up with this thing I even turned off my phone then connected the USB cable and I don't see anything Netflix doesn't come up nothing comes up and it says would you like to connect to Apple carplay. What really sucks there's no one I can call everything is though email which sucks to get a quick response. If I would have known this I wouldn't have ordered it . It's supposed to be just plug and play I believe it not compatible but on their website says it is, I don't know buddy I wish I had your luck the only this good about it matte black not like yours.

I got mine today. I’ve been having an issue with connecting to my hotspot, I type my password in and I says “check password and try again” my password is 12345678 very basic. I’m positive im not typing it incorrect. You ever run into this problem? Let me know if you got a fix

Hi Tyler, thanks for watching my videos. In regards to your question, I fortunately have not had this specific issue. The only issues I had with hotspot was that it sometimes turns off on the car screen and I would have to adjust the screen toggle to turn it on. Then it connects to my phone seamlessly. Maybe try changing your phone password to something with letters and see if that works?
