Hello, I'm having an issue where the January 2023 patch is the most recent patch that I can downgrade to in the tool. Is there any way I could downgrade to a more recent patch?

Hi im kinda screwed. Last night I was down patching my game to some previous version, It was taking long and I accidently cancelled the process which broke my game. Now whenever I start the game I get this error message ''####.smx uses an invalid filetype; some sprites will not display. This is likely caused by a mod'' . When the game starts I cannot see my villagers and scout or any woodline Its just TC and sheep which are visible . so far I've tried following: 1) Reverted Patch. 2) Verified steam integrity. 3) Delete steam cloud. 4) Deleted profile data. 5) Reinstall game. 6) Reset Windows. But the problem is still there :( . Im totally clueless what's causing this issue , Any tip would be really helpful here thanks!

hey man, thank you for the tool and the tutorial but for some reason i can't downgrade to any previous patch, no matter which patch i select, after i click on "Downgrade Now!" i get the message " Successfully Downgraded To Current Version: 63581." which is the current version of the game. any idea what should i do?

Yes! It's your antivirus blocking the download of the main exe file. disable your antivirus

@@GregSteinAoE2 oh the problem was that i didn't download dotnet! since you didn't mention it in this video i didn't even pay attention to your text in your github page xD it's fixed now. thanks eitherway!

Is it possible to create different versions for the game to put in the mod workshop? I'd do it

Yes you can create different versions and store them in your computer but not in the mod workshop due to file size limitations. If you're interested in downloading versions separately in your harddrive; in the downgrader tool there is an options button click that and change the game location to an empty folder then choose the version to downgrade to and click downgrade. All game version files will be downloaded to that empty folder then you can copy all files inside the empty folder to override your game files now your game version has changed.

Step 2, the software must reconnect to steam but the steam guard code page fails to open twice on the software. therefore impossible to finish the downgarde. The software has all permissions, is in administrator mode, etc. Conclusion: Doesn't work :/ A solution ?

Do you mean: does the game have a mac build? Because It doesn't. Some players I know set up a dual boot on their mac so they can either boot to windows 10 or mac Os. And a few others use a virtual machine on mac (which I do not recommend) as you could run into issues.

@@insearchofvalue8034 Install .NET 4.6.1 or higher through wine that should make this tool to run.

I've installed the Dotnet Runtime and when I go to downgrade the recorded game, it pops up saying that Dotnet Runtime is missing Edit: I have fixed the issue.

No! The app is open source so you can build it on your own or scan the released binary on Virustotal.com if you don't trust.
