When is about single player CD problem you tell us to go see the another video. But, in the another video you are sending again here. Feeling hopeless in this loop for CD problem for single players. But indeed you helped me a lot with other problems.

Each video has its purpose. for example this one addresses missing campaigns files only. The other video repairs and verifies game files if corrupt or missing. If you still have any issue let me know I will help you for sure.

@@GregSteinAoE2 yes, I did the instructions of both, but still asking for the CD. Beside of this I managed to play the training mode and after the last field It oppened the true campaigns to play. But It is the only way. When I try to enter by the single player, It still asking the CD. Thank you for your time and attention! Have a nice age of 2024!

@@Herodis1 Your game installation must be damaged missing lots of files. I suggest you to find another complete installation of the game. Join our discord (discord.gg/wZjDpXc8ya) and post in the issues section if you need help with finding a good one.

Yes! Just google .Net framework 4.6.1 or 4.8 that should fix the problem.

For some reason all my progress got removed in Conquerors and Age of Kings but not my save and custom maps any idea why?

Me podras ayudar????? graciassss!!! La única campaña que NO ME DEJA jugar porque me pide el CD es The Age of Kings. La campaña the conquerors siempre la pude jugar. la otra no.

Can we get an updated 5 militia drush BO? With a little more details on which villagers to move around? Thanks!

Sure! I will do that after I upload 1 vs 2 Extreme AI video. Although you should know that it's fine to move wood villagers only , because the foragers, farmers and gold miner in the 5 militia build order are the ones that shouldn't move around. You can move the lumberjacks as long as you return them back to wood it's totally fine.

I have a slightly different problem, I can't even get to the main menu. When I try to run the .exe (either from CD or from installation directory) it just doesn't launch (if I try from CD) or tells me I need to insert CD (if I try from installation directory and regardless if the CD is in fact inserted). My googling has led me to believe it's some outdated DRM thingy I need to circumvent with some new .exe or fix or edit but I haven't found out how to do that (if I need to do that)

@@Hjoerleif Diamond version is custom built by me. You get access not only to 1.0,1.0c, 1.0e, 1.4, 1.5, 1.6 but also age of kings, forgotten empires expansion, Wololokingdoms and Community Patch 1.6 which they include almost all the new civilizations on aoe2 de. The game is preloaded with small trees mod and lots of cool things.

Create a new folder called "Sound" inside your game directory. Then the error should go away.

Everything works until i get to start Game. It says AN ERROR OCCURED WHILE TRYING TO START THE GAME

Run the fix as administrator and that should help.

@@GregSteinAoE2 I had the exact same problem as that person but running it as an administrator didn't help and i got the same message. Do you have any other ideas?

@@BluestoryKamil I suggest you to remove the game from disk 'C', and install it to disk 'D' to avoid these permission issues. If that does not fix which I doubt it There is a chance that an aggressive antivirus or windows defender are denying access the tool from extracting to the disk, so temporarily disable the antivirus.

@@GregSteinAoE2 I tried it. I.. Got an different error this time. An error Occurred while extracting the archive. Path access denied. "D:\Age of Empires II\Campaign\cam1.cpn" To move it to the disk D i just moved the folder to the disk D. I moved the game files to: D:\Age of Empires II

@@BluestoryKamil Your computer disks seems to be protected against apps that extract files by an Antivirus or something. The solution for you would be to download the /campaign/ folder from this zip file: mega.nz/file/RkgRGDBQ#PssBs0duniRcUBNjIP1PN8sJmUSY6QGUbwMfrtzUJCw Then extract it to your game path.

any errors? Check if your game directory has "\Sound\" and "\Data\" folders. For example If you don't find "\Sound\" folder, please create a new folder and name it "Sound".

extraordinarily sus, why wouldn't you just explain what files to copy off the CD?

Because not everyone has the CD or ISO. Most users has compressed or a portable version of the game which by the way is missing an entire folder "\Campaign\" and often \Sound\ as well. So if you have the CD, copy the entire \Campaign\ folder and make sure it contains 10 files + \Media\ folder inside.

Hello, No, it's not! Some aggressive antiviruses like Bitdefender, Mcafee or windows defender don't like apps that download compressed files so they detect them as false positive. AoE2 Campaign Fix or Graphics Fix will check files that are missing and download from my dropbox cloud the missing files. I am well known in the community of AoE2 and this my github profile: github.com/gregstein I understand that you may not trust me but if you want solve the problem without my tool, i can guide you. You must find an installation that has campaigns folder with all the data files. Trying to find those installations is the actual risk. Here I am doing a service to my community to fix their issues in the safest/fastest ways possible. It's up to you to believe or not. Have a nice day.

@@GregSteinAoE2 Hello, First I use AVG antivirus and it doesn't block anything without my authorized permission . Secondly Look I meant no offense but the tool's uninstall.exe has a trojan malware when it had been executed (to Uninstall the tool ) it begun to change some of programs icon to aoe2 icon and had to replace them with backup (If existed) , if you tried to execute any program after its icon had been changed to aoe2 icon the trojan is going to spread as it requires some help from user (not self-dublicated) . I do not have doubts about your honesty but I posted my experience so I am sorry if my point was not clear enough. It did not work for me by the way *** I have the latest aoe 2 De but the hd version has the lan option , thats why I tried your way. Anyway thanks for your efforts.
