    I used the same product on my XJ. I did the ceiling, and the front doors as well. Made a huge difference with road noise

    @@2AOverland If and when you do the doors, you’ll have good results if you apply Noico To the inside of the outer skin, as well as behind the inner panel. Also, any time you have access to hidden areas, that’s a great opportunity to apply FluidFilm to prevent corrosion

    Awh man that sucks! I had a few rust spots but it was from a leaky heater core, from my knowledge my XJ has been in AZ it’s whole life

    They we’re almost clean and rust free 😜 I had 2-3 really small rust holes from a leaking heater core. But it’s nothing that some sheet steel and a welder could fix!

    I use rolled roofing the peel and stick for floors. Great for and offroad rig. I had 2 adapters and broke both. I was looking for something to cover bare metal roof before it becomes too hot this summer. Nothing like wanting to tilt your head while driving to get away from the heat off the roof. I like the trans tunnel producing heat. It keeps my coffee warm on the ebrake.

    Not a bad idea with the rolled roofing! On the roof that would be great. I have a buddy that didn’t have anything on his roof and he had the same issue especially during summer 😬

    @@2AOverland I actually am starting to believe it was from a heater core once upon a time from PO, back in "98" or later on because heater core is good now.l, im the technically the second owner of the xj I have now the original second owner never tagged it or drove it daily jus to the local store and back . but why I say it could be it because my passenger floorboard is done for but all else is good. Great videos man these videos never get old even tho other people have done them the best part is seeing different situations and how people tackle them ..some people dont detail some do and some people use licence plates and some use a actual new floorboard , so to anyone who thinks KZread is the same shit differnt day well they must not pay attention to detail ...great videos man you're literally doing the same things im doing as of now and future great set up ..

    That’s awesome to find one that’s never been registered like that before. I wish we had those here in AZ, along with my floor board starting to go bad it made the carpet extremely nasty too. I also have to agree when it comes to watching all the same topic of video but different tips and tricks of the people doing the same thing. I always end up thinking outside the box for those things lol. I’m glad that all the videos are lining up with your project and hopefully they help!

    Nice install! The roller is the size it is for a reason. Need to apply enough pressure for proper adhesion. A wider roller will not apply the same amount of pressure per square inch.

    Could you fit carpet over the sound insulation if you wanted to ? Asking because I may need to do this in a restore

    I think you could! It’s not extremely thick with all the layers. In a few weeks I’ll be doing a video installing vinyl floor along with normal insulation over this sounds deadener if you wanna stick around and watch it

    Thanks a ton for watching man we really appreciate it a lot! It is the factory paint but I think the jeep has been here in AZ it’s whole life. So I’m guessing the summer sun faded it and took the clear coat off and it made it this awesome dark green and gold type color that looks cool in the direct sunlight 😊

    It is! I had it like that for 6-8 months with no issues other than the aluminum scraping off some of it if you drop something

    Thanks for watching! It was great and really helped compared to the bare metal floor. It held up the whole time and didn’t peel or anything. I did install insulation and a vinyl floor over this and all 3 of those together have made a night and day difference.     Thanks for watching! 😊 we used 18 sheets or 2 complete boxes. We did 3 layers on the trans hump and passenger side and 2 layers on the drivers side.

    It’s a huge improvement over not having anything at all. The only downside is if you scrape any of the aluminum foil off the deadener it will be sticky. A few pieces of our camping gear has sticky stuff on it lol😬

    25 a box? roofing supply's is 25 a roll , looks like your box covers a bit more then the roll, or spray, or brush , on road patch for about 30 a gallon can add all kinds of creative things to the mix, do the back you have res. from that area

I’m gonna do the vinyl when it cools down so I’m not dying outside in this heat 😂 I thought about bed lining the inside too but the heat is too much for us during the summer. And I have to agree with moss green! If we get a new jeep in the future I’m getting it painted the same color as the XJ if they don’t offer it from the factory.

    Curious if POR Raptor Liner would essentially do what a sound deadener like you used would do, but also seal up the pan 🤔 Btw: Noico is good shit. I put it in all my XJ doors. Doors sound solid as hell now, but I used the Noico with the foil material on the outer surface. My main concern with using the sound deadener is with moisture getting trapped between the deadener and metal in any areas that didn't smoosh down all the way.

    Thanks a ton for watching! I’ve heard nothing but good things about the raptor liner but I haven’t used it. I think you could get the same results with multiple layers depending how thick the stuff is. And the added grip would be a plus too! I thought about doing my doors actually with the noico but I’m not sure where to apply it. Did you put it on the inside of the door with the window up or did you put it on the inner panel after removing the interior door panel?
