There are things we can’t change - but stacking the deck and using our unfair advantages means we can make the best of what we have! My unfair advantages include my education/being a doctor, empathy/communication skills, problem solving skills, video editing/graphic design/music for my own YT channel… There are things that I would change if I could (without going into detail) - but I am still so grateful for the advantages that I have been given, and will try my best to use them to help myself and others around me!

I understand all the points you wanted to convey but I honestly believe that not everything can be circled around to become an advantage. if you were born in Eastern Europe for instance you could be as ambitious as much as you want but it would be 10times more difficult to achieve a normal life standard. Just like in the Middle East for instance. There are still some countries where it is better to be born than in others, and there is no way to spin it around. Other points make sense ofc.

That's the same feeling I had watching this video. There are some systems that actively work against a person, much like how the United States has systems set in place to disenfranchise black people, that can make overcoming them extremely difficult. That being said, I'm more in the mindset that communities and working together with others can and usually do help in overcoming and changing the systems at play to enfranchise one another. Also, of course, working towards yourself and empowering yourself, but understanding the systems at work and what changes need to be made to get to where you want to be. It's both realizing one's personal strengths and the strengths of communities.

Existence is designed to work against each individual, in some way. Believing that not everything can be turned into an unfair advantage is a fatalistic and limited view on existence. Allowing One’s life to be ultimately dictated by their circumstances is weakness. Period. There are PLENTY of people born in the Middle East/Eastern Europe who have used such to their advantage. Simply because you are not aware of any, does not imply they do not exist. If you believe there are some unfair advantages that cannot be such.. Well, you’re correct. If One believes everything has potential to be such, and it’s all a matter of perspective and how One chooses to use it.. Well, that person is, also, correct.

You’re the first person that mention one feeling that I was believing to be the only one person in this world feeling this… My grandparents were Japanese🇯🇵 but I was born in Brazil 🇧🇷 (my parents also). For Brazilians, I’m Japanese, but I’ve been in Japan, and definitely I’m not because I can’t speak properly, and my appearance is different. I’m living in UK now, so for them, I’m Chinese 🇨🇳 😂 (a lot of Chinese stay angry when I don’t answer them in Mandarin or Cantonese). I’ve been in Hong Kong 🇭🇰 and I realised that maybe, my ancestors can be from there, because I saw a lot of people like me😂. When my husband ask something, the people answer me in Cantonese and not him in English😅. Some people were so mad, because I told them my background. It’s so sad… Maybe just Asians can understand these differences… Thank you for create a “world” that we can be “accepted”! “Diversity” that’s the word! Less pre-conceptions, judgements! For a better world!Multicultural! 🌎❤️

Your video was great. Very insightful and interesting. I love to learn and is natural to me. My unfair advantage on others is the ability to listen and hear my peers out. But the negative is always listening and never speaking. But that's okay too. For me I am not sure what philosopher it was, maybe marquis but his quote was " listen more and speak less. So when you do. The words you speak carry more weight and meaning."

my unfair advantage is a nearly insatiable desire to discover all the esoteric knowledge i can and be self suffie=cient in every domain possible. i also get to live rent free on my grandparents property. im now in college (a bit late to finally go, im 30) but i have a 4.0 and colllege grants pay me enough that i dont have to work. im going to get another online job soon though, possibly a call center job. i really enjoy your videos and hope im doing well enough one day to ravel the world, and maybe ill even get to meet you someday. i also want to start a youtube channel, and soon i will have the equipment to do that. youre a beautiful (and quite pretty) inspiration. thanks for the content and the insights. Robbie
