My friend Ed from Film Booth made a video called "Why I Stopped Making Videos, and Maybe You Should Too"... and it made me want to make a video about Why I started making videos on KZread and why I think you should too...
Check out the video from @FilmBooth here • Why I stopped making v...
KZread changed my life and even as a Small KZreadr it helped me start becoming more confident, help me develop my skills in public speaking, producing content, and video editing and later it helped me make friends and build a network and a full-time income doing things I love and get excited by. It also helped me make a better life for my family and friends.
I don't think there is a downside to making videos even if you never get a huge audience or become famous. The skills and opportunities to meet people make it worthwhile by itself. Too many of you are focused on becoming famous or rich, instead of looking at the other things you can gain by starting to make content and becoming a creator.

Todays my birthday I’m 37, I was a struggling line cook nearly 2 decades ago. I couldn’t find any content to help me get better at my job back in 2008 and I am less experienced than I’d like to be at this point than I would have been with those resources. My videos are targeted at line cooks and chefs that keep screwing up and just don’t know what to do. My avatar is basically me all those years back.

I’m a toy collector. My friends thought it was interesting and said I should start a KZread channel. I love making videos first of all just because I love the creative process, and secondly I love hearing from my viewers and getting other ideas from them for future videos. It’s just fun and rewarding to create something.

Roberto, I am a 52 year old content creator in the automotive niche. I started two years ago and am now evolving into the whole new world of creating and editing. I love it and originally my "why" was to make money for my retirement only. Now I see that my "why" is that I love the challenge of overcoming. Overcoming my fears and challenges. Thank you for being a great inspiration.

I've been in a major funk lately myself. I took a week off and it was so nice! But honestly, it didn't seem long enough. Making videos has begun to feel like a requirement rather than something I enjoy doing for fun. Advice for anyone feeling like this, don't feel obligated to make so many a week! Dial it back and allow yourself to make a video when you feel like it. You are still in the driver's seat. You don't have to quit to take a break. My goal is going to be 2 videos a week, rather than the 3-4 I was cranking out plus the live. Putting so much pressure on yourself can stifle creativity. God bless!

Its is a process but your righ, its about the audience. Awesome video, dude! First video that I've seen from your channel, and you are damn right! First about people wanting sucess and all thing fast on the fist day, and that never works. If you want to achive anything in life you have to dedicate yourself. I remember when I was creating my first app, endless sleepless nights, the hustle, the grind, the nay sayers, and when I lunched It was a huge success and all my haters had to shut. And then about doing it because you like it, there is no way that you can do something for a long time and does not burnout if you dont like it! Its like sticking to a job you hate, waiting for a bonus right around the corner. Some Eric THomas vibes on the "know your why". Keep up with the good work. Im gonna be a big youtuber as well! o/ ps: nice name hahaha

Hi Roberto what is your take on shorts remixing? I recently asked KZread to remove content that someone had remixed using the video and audio of a short that had posted. They didn't change it at all rather just reuploaded my original short. Anyway KZread wrote back saying that were unable to remove the content because - "When you uploaded the content, you agreed to grant each other user of the service a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to access and use that content (including to reproduce, distribute, prepare derivative works, display, and perform it) as enabled by a feature of the service." I guess I had overlooked that originally. Have you already posted about that? Has KZread? I wish this info was more clear. Apparently at this point when you upload a short you are granting everyone else on KZread non-exclusive access to use it however they want. That probably includes on or off the platform? This certainly will discourage me and I assume others from uploading certain original content on shorts.

I haven't made videos due to a mix of family issues, procrastination, and college. Right now, I'm just gonna focus on making content when I'm able to and just get used to doing that before I worry about a more consistent upload schedule. I make videos because I want to find my own voice as an artist and really come into my own, and I feel college/the traditional workforce to be too limiting for that.

I retired in 2020 and started dabbling in content creation by shooting wig reviews with my cell phone in my kitchen. As time went by, I was astounded that I was actually getting views! I decided to get more involved, got better equipment, etc. I'm doing it as a hobby and because I think its fun, very creative, and feel I've learned a lot...I'm my own production company...who knew?! Since about July, I've made about 30 videos, and have over 700 subs. I wake up with new ideas everyday, and can't wait to create! Can't think of a better way to spend my retirement! Love your video's, thanks so much!

The reason I make videos on KZread is because it is my passion but my main reason for making KZread videos is because I really enjoy editing my videos with no help. I get to learn new things as I edit & it's more fun to play around with the videos to see if it would be something you would share or cut from the video. I also enjoy writing scripts for my videos but the best part is doing the voice over. I enjoy that the most because it keeps the video from being all over the place & since I have been reading scripts my speaking is way better than ever but still can improve more as I go. That is my why for being a content creator.

Such a good point. By making videos, you are learning so much about editing, writing, script writing and more about your favorite topics. You learn about color grading, how sound design works. I am learning about "speaking" atm and getting more confident with every new project. Even if no one is watching, I am still improving my skill set.

I’ve seen small amounts of improvement since taking some of your advice. (Baby Steps. I’m patiently awaiting my Giant Steps or Leaps & Bounds! I FEEL IT COMING)! The transparency you exhibit in sharing your own journey, makes my Faith over Fear attitude a bit stronger! 🙌🏾 You take time to break your content down, and take your time doing so. No fast talk, like some other creators I’d subscribed to, then quickly unsubscribed. It’s aggravating and makes me feel like I’m about to get scammed! 😄 Like a Used Car Salesman “Back in the day!” 😅 Keep the good content coming, Sir!

While I never really became good at making videos or had much succes on youtube I would like to say thanks for skills I have learned from watching your videos years back. Having the basics on how to present on video has helped me many times with making presentations at school and now uni and just being a little confident on camera is something I have been getting a lot of comments on over the the last few years with corona when we had oral assignments that had to be done in video format.

I'm starting a hockey brand and manufacturing business. So KZread I plan on showcasing my designs of my jerseys that I will be selling. Not only that I want to make it into a tv show something that dives deep into my designs and vision. I have been working at this company for going on 3 years. KZread wise I am working on the content currently just need to add music, and motion graphics. I'm also a photographer and have quality glass. Lighting and audio I need to work on a little bit. So KZread will play a part because not only am I showing my skill, but I'm also providing a service. Hopefully to gain leagues and clients outside of KZread and grow not just online, but outside of the KZread space.

I started creating KZread videos to create an online presence for myself. I have an ambitious plan to create an educational foundation to help all the disadvantaged students I teach. I didn't want to create an education channel, but I wanted to create a channel about something I was interested in: faith, femininity, beauty, and lifestyle skills. So, I started my channel around May of this year. I'm not confident with my progress since I only have about 58 subscribers and rarely get views. For some reason, I expected to do better since it's been almost five months going on six months. I told myself that I would give it another five to six months before I decided to cut my losses--after all, I am having some fun creating my videos. However, I am a teacher, and teaching and creating videos simultaneously is challenging. Perhaps things may change within the next six months, but so far, that is my plan. Even if I am not successful in creating an impactful online presence, I will still achieve my dreams with my foundation.
