Hey y'all so just in case y'all watched the video without sound...I just wanted to try it bigger parts to see how it'll look bc I didn't feel like doing small (it would take too long for me) but know it will DEFINITELY look better with smaller parts! So if y'all try it definitely let me know how it turns out and thank yall so much for watching!💕💕💕

I think with smaller braids and the right curling cream (not gel), it could work. Bigger braids would work better for a braid-out style

It's really cute on you. I have an idea, only leave out in the front around the face. That's how I'm going to do mine. It will make last longer, and less work.

I recommend doing this with twists for our hair instead of 3 piece braids. It’s much better! And before you go to sleep braids the twists into larger sections. When you take it down in the morning you will achieve that look :)! If you don’t want to braid your hair in large sections while in twists at night, simply mist the hair with water, then braid larger chunks for 30 mins to an hour and you should be good to go! **Excuse the horrible punctuation and such. I’m in a hurry and am typing on my phone!

I truly enjoyed watching you do this hairstyle I loved it. I do think that with your hair type smaller braids along with a curling gel to define your curls would work better for you.

I've been loving to see this style but I'm not bout to even play myself because my hair is coily...not curly so I know my little coils will be shrunken all the way up the braids. All you'll see is the braid with little ringlets throughout lol.

May have been the products you used too. I've seen others with type 4 hair do this style and it looked good. Some used a heavier gel type product just on the pieces that are left out which gave them a better result.

Try doing it on damp hair use more gel and smaller parting. The fell really weighs down our 4c hair and gels like eco and wet line create a cast around your hair so that it takes long for it to get frizzy... Hope this helps

Girl thanks. It is a good idea and a cute hairstyle for the first day, I guess. I definitely will be skipping this trend. Cuz I would be so upset after spending so much time on it. But I do wonder if using beeswax would help.

I think I might twist the leave out sections when I try my hand at it by God’s grace. I have 4c hair and definition is not really expected but twisting the leave out with gel and then taking out the twists the next day ( or in my case just leaving the twists in the whole time) might give it that curly look without dryness or damage.

  • @gazellehelene5380

I tried it with smaller braids and I twisted the leave out so they looked like mini twists. I also did twists towards the end of the braid instead of twirling it and it looks really cute, thank God. It also seems like it will last awhile this way so this method might make a great low maintenance style for our hair type if we twist the leave out rather than just putting gel on it.

I think the leave outs lost their curls because you blow-dried the hair before making it. If your hair was in it’s completely natural state I think it would have lasted longer.

  • @caramelmommy22

I wouldn't try it. But only because my hair is shoulder length and I get a lot of shrinkage. So after it all dried it would be too short.

I think about how much easier it is to do it with 3a,3b,3c texture compared to 4. Some styles aren't for us because it takes too much work for little reward. Looks like tiny parts with rods would turn out nice but for all that just use fake hair.
