    I have this car and I never noticed the boot issue. The only thing that kinda annoyed me was figuring out the child lock but other than that it's a great car and I love it so far

    Can you even pack a weekly grocery shopping in this? Boot looked very small when I test drove it, even after extending trick mentioned here. Thanks.

    I am from India having both XUV 300 and 700 , trust me sir these two cars are unbelievable, they provide comfortable ride quality as well as with decent mileage. Also they have enough features as compare to other cars in the segment. Also Recently launched XUV700 has got 5 starts in GNCAP with the award of as safest car of India .

    I test drove this in South Africa and while it drives great, I found boot too small. It doesn’t look like one can fit even 1 large travel bag or weekly grocery shopping. I wanted to buy this car so what a pity.

    No Indian reviewer ever showed us that sliding boot tray, so we thought 259 L was it's boot space, but now thanks to your video i know how it increases to 288 l. Love from India.

    @@MotoringAndTechWorld No , but I'm considering this segment. So Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon are in the fray. Tata Nexon Diesel beats this one on price, ground clearance, boot space and milage, even more value for money zxplus model. You should check it out if it's available in SA, otherwise You Tube has a ton of info.

    @@MotoringAndTechWorld actually tata nexon is an indian car, and i dont think it is sold outside, according to me tata nexon is better value for money than xuv300, and safe too, (indian cars nowadays are known for their safety, like even the cheapest cars are much safer than the competetion)

    Fuel consumption. Maybe include a 1 or 2 minute clip of a 10 minute in town/highway driving to illustrate the two fuel consumptions.

    I was gonna suggest chapters in the other videos.. glad you're including them in the newer videos. wish we could see how these cars age though, or what the stats are in terms of faults (there is some international rating, I can't remember what it's called though)

    Yes true I guess only time will tell. The same with Chery and Haval. We will just have to wait and see how it performs over a longer period. Thanks for pointing out about chapters. If chapters are included in a video, do you make use of this often? Does it help when you watch a video? Do you actually view the chapters on the video screen or in the description box below?

    @@MotoringAndTechWorld Having chapters really helps on phone as then one can click thumbnails or even a timestamp link. I sometimes visit specific chapters again. Of course, disadvantage for reviewer is a person can probably click a few links and not watch entire video. 🙂

When you say I keep focus on the car review, do you mean that during the video my focus is only on speaking about the car. Or are you talking about the channel as a whole? I was thinking of including some other aspects of cars as well like maybe some finance element about costing and what to look for when buying a car. What are your thoughts on bringing in some other aspects as well? Would you be interested to hear about those. Are there any specific topics you would like me to research and speak about on this channel?

    Impressive vehicle, drove a xuv500 a few years ago, needed a bit more refinement. Your camera seemed to have been inverting several times during the video making it look you were in a left hand drive car, was this deliberate?

    @@MotoringAndTechWorld Beautiful cars. Way I look at it is 355K gets you top of range XUV300 W8 but if you just drop 45K more, you get stunning Tiggo 4 Elite SE edition. 50K over 7 years hardly makes much difference if on loan.

    @@MotoringAndTechWorld Yes, l am. Also looking to test drive Tiggo 4 next week or so. Have test drove XUV 300 already and loved it except for the tiny boot. It will be choice between either Mahindra XUV 300 or Tiggo 4 as of now unless there is other better car in same range. Might have to go for XUV as top of the range petrol (new) costs 334K but saw some low mileage cars for 270K.

    if you liked the xuv300, i would definitely recommend you to check out the xuv700 and the new scorpio n, (mahindra announced they are going to bring it to africa too)

    @@MotoringAndTechWorld Mahindra sells SUVs and Suzuki sells hatchback . Mahindra is strong build but Suzuki are thin metal, If Suzuki collide with tata or Mahindra, Suzuki will become flat or poor build....

    Wish they had the AMT version. Love all the features and safety rating. Just annoyed about those straps instead of normal pockets behind the front seats...why Mahindra, why?

    Diesel is more fuel efficient. It depends on how many passengers you want to be transporting. Is a 5 seater fine or are you considering a 7 seater as well?

    Mohammed i heard someone say that the car has a cheap smell? is it true? i was horrified when i heard someone who was reviewing the car say that, taking into the account that Mahindra XuV 300 is not a budget car at R334 000-00 can you confirm if it smells good and not cheap?

    Hi Samuel. In the test vehicle I had I did not notice a cheap smell. If that is the case I’m sure a nice air freshener should do the job and make your car smell like new again. Are you looking at possibly purchasing the Mahindra XUV300?

    @@MotoringAndTechWorld yes this car is my dream car.. i like the fact that it is not yet everywhere like most cars you know. it has great power figures, its the only car in the cross over segment that has 6 gears in manual. 300nm in diesel variant. I really like it a lot

    @@MotoringAndTechWorld I did compare it Hyundai Venue, Vetara Brezza, Nissan Magnite, And Kiger. I dont think these cars can compare with it in terms of power uniqueness and features. I love it's safety features.

    @@MotoringAndTechWorld safety , performance of diesel engine, great mileage ( all rounder compact SUV), here in India Korean and some Japanese companies making unsafe car .other hand tata and Mahindra making a car with (balance design safe, reliable and good mileage) 😅

    It also got safer choice award. Which is the highest award in "Global NCAP". Also recently XUV 700 got it too. Good to see Mahindra is focusing on safety🦺🙌
