My grandfather used to wear the undercut. I have a picture of him and my grandmother from around 1929 and he has his hair cut this way. This was also a haircut used by men wearing fedoras. My grandfather was a Marine in 1920 and was one of the major influences in my life. Cheers Ron

I’m usually a stubble style, but for the last three months I’ve had a handlebar mustache. My facial hair grows thick and fast, and I like how I can completely transform my look in a week.

The fade is a good look for you Boss.

For 15 years I have been keeping a longer length beard in the Fall/Winter (like in my avatar photo) and a shorter 1/4 stubble beard in the Spring/Summer. It’s been such a part of my look for so long now, I’d never go clean shaven.

Strangely enough in my experience, a lot of the blue colour/working class guys I know cook. We often discuss the best way to cook curries, steak or just roast potatoes. I've even seen it get heated over if you can curry pork! You can the reason you don't get it in UK Indian restaurants is the fact that most are owned by Bangladeshi Muslims who for eat pork!

This was very helpful and informative, as usual. Have you considered doing a video on tattoos? I completely understand if you are averse to having tattoos, but, with so many of us getting them (I'm over 50 and the upper 1/3 of my back is replete with tattoos), I figure you could put something together about tattoos, placement of tattoos, conspicuous vs. inconspicuous tattoos, and amount of tattoos.

Being in my mid 30s and always strived to dress well, be my own man and master skills I considered essential in life I think cooking has given one of the best synergistic effects. Not only does it feel great on a personal level and being able to control what you eat and the economic advantage of not wasting money on overpriced premade food but also women finds this extremely attractive. It's 2024, most guys/men have graduated into caring for their skin or overall appearance to what when I grew up would have been considered ridiculous or feminine. But despite the clear advantages of mastering cooking they still expect their mom or someone else to do it.

I myself have gone for clean shaven as I am in Korea for now. They think beards are scruffy. For hair I've got a side buzzcut, to thin the the shape of my head, a fringe that sits an inch above the brow and a short mullet. As I have protruding facial features. I find having some length at the back reduces the perception of protrusion from the front. A couple of barbers have been keen to take photos to study and post online. I think the modern mullet is less of a fad and is designed with a more technical approach incorporating aspects of other timeless cuts.

Would you recommend an off the shelf product to straighten hair?

My beard varies between Box and Garabaldi depends on the season and time between barber visits. I have a more rounded face and the beard gives me a nice jawline structure. I would love to rock a nice Pomp but my hair is a little to curly and grows in many direction, plus I have a 2nd crown😂

I'm 27 and shaved my head last year. One of the best decisions I made. Women really don't care about bald men, even if they state their preference. Have good hair or shave your head, women don't like anything in the middle a.k.a. a bad receding hairline. You'll look healthier and younger bald than with little hair.

The alcohol consumption is difficult for me as still being in recovery of it. Though i am down 75% from this time last Year thanks to multiple rehab centers and being in therapy. One thing I've been dabbling in since the new Year is wine fermentation for personal use obviously. It's surprisingly cheaper this way too, i have a recipe for Cabarnet Sauvignon that makes 4 bottles for $6 and it only takes 8 days until it's ready to bottle.

So, what I'm hearing is that the best hair choices are bald with a full beard. Lucky me! ;-)

Excellent tips but I would also suggest taking a shower or bathing at least once a month, if you want to present a fresh, clean, well put together, handsome look to the world.

Go bald. It's really the only answer unless you're planning to get hair implants. If you still have hair but it's thin and growing slow, you can use hair growth treatments (minoxidil, if I remember that correctly, is the only one proven to work), although this doesn't restore lost hair, they only strengthen weakened hair and can cause increased hair growth all over your body. If you go bald, you will want a beard to offset. Of course this is subjective but combovers and hats are noticeable and don't actually cover things up well unless you still have a majority of your hair.

The circle beard or full goatee is the "GOAT" of beards.

Unless you work in extreme heat like a iron foundry or similar you should only drink a gallon of water a day if you want to pee all the time.

As a man who wore a goatee for several years, I can say with certainty that women do not like goatees. My wife loves me in a beard or clean shaven. But a goatee is a hard no.

Careful with giving advice on water intake since it can be viewed as medical advice and dangerous for some (I.e. heart failure, hyponatremia). Hopefully these people know how to manage this themselves, but my experience is that they don’t. 😮 Not everyone can pull off these hairstyles due to hair type, so sometimes the style chooses you.

Truth is if you don’t look good, no hairstyle is gonna save you

Don’t worry about it. Some studies show clean shaven to be equal with beards. Also, the most famous study put 3 day stubble as lower than clean shaven. It also said well groomed 10 day stubble was higher than beards. So who knows. He definitely rushed through the “studies show” part.

Comb straight back. Your stylist has to make sure the length is only long enough to give you some height viewed from the front. It is not meant to be a comb over to cover baldness areas in the back or top of your head.

Come on Antonio. The buzz cut, while popular with many in the military isn’t a true military cut. The crew cut is what I would call a military cut. At least that was true during my 22 years in the US Navy.
