Those guys were about as smart as a bag of rocks. Can you imagine skiing right up to a cornice like that and expecting anything different? Then I see most of them are right there at the edge. Everyone could have died there.

I was trying hard to come up with a phrase that captures the ignorance, lack of awareness, or just plain stupidity it would take to ski up to that wind loaded precipice ... a bag of rocks, I like it.

Holy fuck that’s the absolute opposite of safe - that wind blown snow…😢

The cornice fell downhill, while the skier remained inside the split, safely on the uphill side. At least I hope so.

Right. I snowmobile in that kind of terrain. No one would do that unless they had no education, just rent some skis and goof around.
