The Tab A9 is the 8.7" model. The Tab A9+ is the better one but it has a bigger display. The only good 8" Android tablets that are left is the Galaxy Tab Active 3, Galaxy Tab Active 5 and both Lenovo Legion Y700 tablets. There's a 9" Lenovo Tab M9 for $95 with okayish specs but a crappy screen. Ended up buying the TCL Tab 8 on ebay for $55 brand new. Best bang for your buck, imo.

I handed my TCL Tab(Verizon unlocked) to my niece. I love that tablet and opened the door to 7-8 inch tablets for me.
