@@RockR277 Satchel Charges give even fewer fucks than honey badgers; 1 or 100, without the Detect Traps mod effectively disabling them or knowing they're there and shooting/grenading them...this is what happens.

You know, I think there might be mines on that road. I hope Josh checked a few more times, just to make sure. 😂

If were being technical there aren't and I'm pretty sure you can't disarm satchel charges before they explode at least I've never done it.

He's so good at rolling with the punches. That's something I really I love about Josh. I'm so used to streamers screaming all the time. It's nice to see chill.

And that is why Light Step is my favourite perk in the game

i used to think this way until i got to the realization that if i'm going to play every bethesda game crouched 24/7... at least i'm going to watch the ground since now is closer... never had any problems with traps ever again.

@@Mylesthemyth I didn't realize people thought the best perk in the game was useless. Light step: for those pesky mines that exist within the floor that you can't see or interact with but will still blow your legs clean off.

Anyone can be a minesweeper once. Also I believe you can use the V.A.T.S to scan for mines.

unfortunatly this only works in fallout 4 from what i remember mines are not valid VATS targets in new vegas

Much as I love playing Fallout 4. Mines in Fallout New Vegas are better. This might sound like a silly claim. But when you reload in Fallout 4, the mine that killed you disappears, as well as some other traps near it. Likely to stop people reloading in a place where they're stuck... Meh! But in New Vegas, you can reload and lose a leg instantly all over again! Light step perk is a good idea.

Pretty sure on my current playthrough I've died to a mine and then reloaded and then crouch disarmed that very same mine many times. I did have ONE disappear on me though. But that's like 1 out of 10 so far.

@@Ralathar44 I've got 2100 hours in the game, so it's very likely that I've just played it too much. But it does seem to happen to me most, if not all of the time. Maybe I just savescum too much and it's broken. XD

@@LaylaSpellwind I think playing with savescumming is just the natural state of Fallout and Elder Scrolls :D. I couldn't save scum the other day and had to use console commands to make Preston not aggro to me because I was trying to troubleshoot the new patches and accidentally blasted a clip into him :D.

Are those modded mines? I've NEVER seen an instant mine in that game...

@@2Poor4UserName "Changing some Mechanics around and the setting" is the difference between Wasteland 3, Shadowrun returns, Divinity Original Sin 2 , and Baldur's Gate 3 lol. The Final Fantasy series shares more elements than Fallout and Skytim and they have made many very VERY different Final Fantasy games.
