I've just purchased this watch & so far I am very impressed. It looks classie in real life, also the watch looks much more expensive than it really is. The turbine is weired but different, in a good way. Hopefully Casio have built this watch to be as reliable as a Seiko or Citizen, which I have plenty of. It's a well dressed Tank!

Good review. Interesting watch. Two things i would like. 1. The hour markers with "luminous". 2. The ability to turn the backlight off. Half a sleep and bleary it is very hard to see/read the time.

Hello! Great review, looking forward to get the watch in resin/rubber strap! You have great knowledge regarding watches i just wanted a query of mine to be resolved. I recently brought a EQB-501XDB-1ADR. It has a beautiful built quality which i really love and it has all the bluetooth functions as in the watch mentioned above. I was just exploring the casio+ app connected to the watch and out of curiosity changed the analog hands positions and also manually adjusted the time from the crown just to get the feel of it. Now the problem is the watch is not setting to my current time zone from my phone. All the hands are out of place including the day hand. The watch is easily connecting to the app but the time zone and the day are not being set however i try! I read somewhere that if we manually adjust the hands it takes 24 hours to readjust according to the app, but it's been days and the problem persists. I searched online but haven't found a solution yet and the place where i live the watch guys don't know a thing! Apologies for writing so much, hope so would get a solution from you. Greetings from India! Cheers!

Just got this watch and really love it! As far as am/pm, it displays am/pm for world clock.... when the pointer is pointing towards the right, it's in am time, when it points to the left, it's in pm mode. If it is pointing straight down, it's noon, straight up, midnight! Not sure why that's so hard! Yeah, the letters a and p *are* small, but do you really need to read them every time? It isn't going to change! As for the turbine, I like it! Maybe I'm weird! I do agree it should simply display the battery level all the time during "Calander" mode, not require you to push a button, but that's not a bid deal to me. Turbine also displays on or off, when in "alarm" mode. I just think it's interesting looking, and like how it looks when it's spinning around... yeah, maybe I am weird! Love the watch overall! Great look, very reasonable price, but not for small wrists! App link also makes syncing time/alarm/world time very easy, and keeps your phone amazingly accurate, without needing to connect to nuclear timekeeping radio.

Shel W hey I got mine yesterday and so I put my watch under a lamp last night and it took maybe 1 hour go go from roughly 50%-90% but now according to the app it’s still at 90% after 4 fours. Are you experiencing the same problem? Also the LED eats your battery way too quick. Try not to use it too much

the turbine when it does not display the battery level keeps up with the hours, say its 12pm, it will be fully red, if its 12:30 it will be half red and at 1:00 it will be fully black. still a worthless function but personally love it

The turbine indicates minutes, top of the hour and battery levels. It replaces the hourly ring that you have on other Casio. It's a quick glance feature. If you get use to it, it's useful. Also, you can actually get 8 time zones out of this beauty... I have the Luxury Military Edition of this watch...

Amazes me how people don't get the turbine, shows battery when you want but for 99% of the time will never move if yall had it way you want. Instead Casio did something real cool, the turbine is tied to minutes normally so it does one full rotation per hour, so everytime you look at it its in a different spot.

Something I wish I knew before buying is that it can only have 1 alarm that only beeps 20 times (10 sets of 2 rapid beeps) and it’s pretty quiet and the G-SHOCK app has to be on on your phone to use the find my phone. It doesn’t have to be the main app on your screen but as long as it’s been opened and you don’t swipe it out of multitasking then it will work but that also eats your battery. When you first get it like most you’ll have to leave it to charge for at least 1 day out in the sun. To save time for new owners like me the battery will seem to stay at halfway and not go up but just leave it in the sun or under a watch charge lamp for like 24h. By then it should be near or at full Oh yea. The watch hands get in the way of the smaller dials and the black text around the bezel will start to come off after a couple years. For example on mine the S and half of the K in G-Shock have come out Over time they’ll come out anyway but I probably sped mine up when cleaning it with a toothbrush 😅
