WSL really need to provide PD and cultural competence to all staff, commentators and surfers in how to pronounce Teahupo’o. Even if people dont get it completely right its appreciated when you make an effort. Hearing people still saying Showpoo and Chopes is so disrespectful and in this day and age, really not acceptable. Its one word/ name. The least you can do travelling there under the locals manaaki is learn that one thing. Please have some respect

I usually don't hate on commentators because I know it's hard to please everyone. But I think with Felicity (and Jesse, whom I personally don't mind as much) as a permanent host, the WSL really went too far. I hope Flic improves soon - or gets fired.

God this commentary team is terrible. Ronnie and matty chojnacki actually give us some insight..
