I mean, most of my attempts to score an unknown wave that I find on satellite imagery don't pan out, but I keep trying for the sake of the travel and adventure.

I am 65 years old and started surfing at age 18 and I have watched SO many surf movies, videos, and edits over the years, and THIS was by far the coolest video I've ever watched - huge BRAVO ! I came very close to dying from bladder cancer in 2016 and just don't have the juice to surf anymore which is a giant bummer. But I have several vlogs like this and the WSL (with all of its warts and issues), to keep me stoked and engaged in surf culture. And that is enough to keep me happy and hoping that one day, when I don't have to expend so much energy making a living, I can get back in the water and catch a few. THANK YOU ! And on a final note: because I do follow the WSL, I have become a huge fan of the new wave of young ladies like Caity, that have in maybe 2 years time so drastically pushed the boundaries of women's surfing. Caity's performance here was just astounding and such a pleasure to see ! Keep it rolling girls ! And please never stop this series - so, so good !

Surfing great and an amazing attitude. That's the type of person you want with you on a surf trip. Stoked and giving to others. When your youth and the limelight fades, what are you left with? Sit transit gloria. But a good heart doesn't. Put him on more trips.

Uff what a wave, defenitly the best one which was discovered after sceleton bay. Solis and Caity's waves were mind blowing. So good to see that there is still waves like this out there. Definitely the best surfing series out there. I hope there will be a third season.

Hands down the best series i have ever seen! Two of the surfers ended up getting the waves of their lives, which i find easy to believe. Caity sleeping on the beach, head on the board and an open jar of pb - pure gold. That wave she got was absolute perfection.All the emotions going on from day 1...this is what surfing really is about. Caity said it - that's better than winning a contest. Congrats to Surfline for making this happen ❤. Mahalo! 🤙🏽

Simmers is like a gift to the surfing community.

Goosebumps! That was so inspiring. I lived in Oside for 10 years and had the pleasure of witnessing a little Caitlin surf the pier a few times. She was always amazing to watch but this? Insane!!! Soli was off the charts and Timo too !!! Thanks to Matt and the whole crew. What an amazing acomplishment!

I count that wave of Caity's as a 24 second barrel. Un-effing-real. Hoping she wins the World Title this year, The new crop of young women surfers is just incredible! Next season with Caity, Erin Brooks, Picklum, Sakura Johson, Marks, wow!! The old guard is going to get washed away I believe, but one or two may (may) manage to keep up. Meanwhile, on to new never before surfed perfect lefts and rights!

I enjoyed seeing how suviving the barrel quickly advanced into mastering it. Very inspirational. Also the confidence of the trip organizer against seemingly sketchy odds is testament to his research, experience, and force of will. Very cool stuff.

I've been salivating on every episode of this series. Waiting waiting waiting for the next one. Reviewing previous ones, reviewing amazing waves ridden by excellent threaders and shredders. This one is so next level! Caity's performance was amazing! Never really been a fan of woman's surfing but this kid kept up with the boy's! The real star was the waves though, my god! To me it's like olden days Kirra but even more perfect due to the zero beach erosion because there is no buildings to mess with the waves natural movements!! Last but not least, Matt, again nailing it! Kudos for the real search attitude! Can't wait for more. Inspirational Peace ✌️

I haven't surfed in over a year for a lot of different reasons, but mostly because I always find an excuse or reason not to do it. I used to love surfing so much and deep down I still do. Watching this has motivated me to get back in the water...it's going to be 2' tomorrow and bad, but I'm still going. Thank you for this.

This clip easily reached the top of the top of surfing clips for obvious reasons. The search (it's not over!), the failed expectations and the magnificient delivery. I would be curious to know how fast Soli, Timo and Caity had to push themselves in this dreamy unreal wave. Thanks Surfline (Matt definitively deserves a bonus !) and O'Neill for making this a reality !

By far the best wave of the entire 2 seasons so far! Absolute drainers wow!

I am so impressed with Caitys barrels and tube riding techniques. She looks like and surfs like a world class barrel rider. I grew up in SD and was a local at Big Rock for decades. This chick can ride the tube! What a savage! Hats off to her and everyone that scored on this trip.

Maps is always a gas to watch. But this one was beyond amazing. You kids murdered it!!! Reminds me of "The Corner" on a little Island I flew to hundreds of times -decades ago. No way on God's earth I could ever attempt waves like that anymore. But there was a time. A time with area maps across my garage wall - listening to Fort Collins on the shortwave - sleeping under the wing and taking scalps with a few friends and nobody out.

The ending words by Caity and Matt had my eyes watering with hope for the future. Thank you guys!

I think I've commented this before. This series is the 2020's Endless Summer. That's how good it is. I can even imagine Bruce Brown's voice narrating this.

Far out. That was unreal to watch, really captured what surfing is about. The juxtaposition of locking into one of those long rides so intently, but then sitting on the beach and having a laugh with your mates. Loving every minute of what youre doing, keep doing it!

More stories like this, with interviews and audio snippets rather than fast paced music soundtrack films. Maybe the next one add more location audio of the sound of the waves crashing.

Incredible episode and hats off to Matt Rode for the research and knowledge. The surfing was out of this world on a wave of true consequence. Highlights for me were Soli’s lost for words walk up the beach after one mind blowing ride, and Caitlin’s jaw dropping tube sense on wave after wave. Brother Timo no slouch either!
