Well, obviously all she ever wanted was all of his money. Best as his widow. She did everything to make his problems worse. Would you pour a glass of wine every evening to someone who just overcame his alcohol addiction? I would give him water, tea, whatever. No alcohol. And of course I would stay sober when he just is detoxing from alcohol. According to her assistant she loved doing drugs. Same like him. Mushrooms, cocaine, Marijuana. Some people do push or slap when playing around, but it's always lightly done and playful. My friends and I do it all the time. Her action here isn't what shows her violence. There is something in it that does, though. It's not that she slaps him playfully (that can happen in general), it's that he reacts by backing away. When friends and family playfully slap each other like that, there may be a slight flinch or the person may not react in body language at all, but may just laugh. But I am verry glad that you mentioned him taking a step back ( or better said a too big step, for her just hitting him playfully). I don´t know if I would have noticed it a few years ago, but now that I know more about their relationship, I emideatly saw it. You are absolutly right, it is not that much her behavior then it is his. I mean it might be overinterpretation, but he looked a little insecure when she slapped him... But I think when it comes to body language the most telling video out there is the one where he is at the "Black Mass" premiere and Dakota Johnson asks him about his injured finger... If you look closely you can see that his hand starts to shake for a moment after that... (By the way, I apollogize for my English, it is not my motherlanguage...)

Just putting my two cents in, idk if y'all are gonna read this. But I have grown up in an abusive household, one where my father and mother would beat me, and I have a friend who playfully hits people around her just like Amber. But yeah, I've noticed that when our other friends are being hit by her, they don't have a similar reaction to me (or Johnny, cause if I were him, I would've reacted in the same manner)

Man. Now, in 2022, the case is panning out and it’s crazy to see people from 5 YEARS ago seeing through Amber’s BS. Justice For Johnny Depp.

Also, having watched several Overhaulin episodes over the years, the car is usually finished by the time the mark is told that they were "Overhauled". This just shows that Johnny and Amber's father know that her patience is short and they avoided her becoming furious about the situation by not making her wait until the car was finished.

Her flipping off who she thought were police, for taking photos. There are a world of possible reactions, but that is hers. When she finds out, first reaction...hit each of them. She couuuuuld have wrapped around him & given him a big kiss, & then hugged her dad, but no, go straight to hitting. Glorious work on the car, though and another testimonial about the kind of person Johnny is and an example of what should have ended up a really romantic gesture.

She beat Johnny after this.

I remember the first time I saw this and being stunned by her rude, demanding, and surly behaviour. Then when Johnny was asked how he hid it from her, she looked at him with such malevolence and menace that I actually felt a pang of fear and thought: "Is she going to hit him or something?" Now that we know what she really is, I bet she really DID beat him up that night.

I came here after the trial today

In all of their public appearances she's either hitting him, acting domineering, aggressive, pulling him away from fans/people he talks to while he looks meek, depressed and is constantly looking for affirmation to her on how to behave/asking for permission. That and there are multiple photos of public appearances where he has bruises on his face. How did we not connect the dots earlier? :(
