You don't need to put in the distributor if your just doing batches. I've done plenty of batches in both spinzall 1.0 and spinzall 2.0 and I only use it when I'm doing continuous. One few thing to clean is one nice thing about batch mode.
instead of steaming, can you just sous vide the carrots?

You probably can, but you'll have to test to see how long it takes to get the level of breakdown needed to clarify.

Why didn’t the version that you spun up look as clear as what was in the jar?

It is pretty close. There is naturally as with everything some natural variation. We try to prep multiple batches for shooting since we only do one shoot of our episodes.
Can you make a clear ginger juice and keep the heat? I lose the bite when the solids are removed. This is not a problem as long as you use sugar, which I avoid.

Check out their video with Dave Arnold titled "Clarified Ginger Vodka". Should be a very similar process for just making regular ginger juice

@@scottmichaelharris the method that Dave demonstrates should work fine without alcohol. While I haven't tried it out, the relevant part of the video is that magnesium carbonate helps to remove the starch during clarification

@@matthewbemis unfortunately the Spicey compound seems to form a solid in plain water, but not sugar water or vodka.
