At some point Chris might've realized the one person who could put the timeline together and is trying to figure out exactly what happened was in his vicinity and dangerously close to uncovering the truth. He very well could've hurt her.

I think it was her son that found Shanaan’s cell phone hidden in the couch cushions. That was a huge piece of evidence, considering she lived on her phone and wouldn’t normally be without it. Then her purse was discovered in another room.

As sad as this all is, my favorite thing will always be watching neighbor Nate staring at Chris the whole time, letting Chris know that he knows he did something to his family. That’s a good man. He’s no fool.

It’s unimaginable that a father wouldn’t be absolutely terrified with his two daughters missing. Marriage might be over but his kids missing should still be driving him insane.

Imagine if your wife and kids were genuinely missing. You'd demand that officer knock down the door, even if you were 30 seconds away. When you found out your neighbor had a camera, you'd race over to find any possible clue. You'd sprint to the pool. The fact CW doesn't know how to even pretend to act, shows what a monster he really is.

i dont think, that there was a fight between him and his wife. she had no defense wounds. with high probability he has set her under drugs, and sofficated her with pillow while she was sleeping. the entire murder was planned it was no excident. in her blood were found remains of a drug.

Good point! Well, thankfully CW is a terrible lier and does not know what to do. I was just wondering what would have happen if, and only IF, he was a terrific lier and a very good actor: I saw a dokumentary of the Green River Killer, and he DID pass the lie detector test. Yeah, thats right! It was dna that let him down 13 years later. Just imagine if CW had passed the test AND he did act perfectly as a broken husband who´s family were missing...?! The police did not have anything on him at this point and he was not a suspect. That would give him plenty of time to get rid of evidence (if any) that tied him to this crime. He gave himself away!

@@DozensOfViewers I think you are right! In fact they (the police) had NOTHING on him. They did suspect him alright, but it does not prove anything about murder. Still, they found nothing when they searched the house the same day! The K9 found nothing either. Everybody was clueless. The security camera just showed CW loading his truck and driving for work. And this was when he did not even have time to "fix the place". If he was smart, he could have comitted the perfect murders. But he is an idiot (thankfully) and he gave himself away: Misserable interview with televison, smirking and joking (He did not need to talk to the press) He failed the lie detector test horribly (He did not need to take that test) But NA crossed all his plans (whatever they were) when she called the cops!

The best friend knew something was wrong. She was so persistent. What an amazing friend!

The fact that the male neighbour quickly suspected him shows that he must of not known his neighbours as well as he thought he did.

I disagree. I think its BECAUSE he knew them that he suspected Chris so quickly. He says multiple times "he is acting weird. He never talks! He is very introverted so for him to be over here telling you what he put in his truck over and over makes me kinda suspicious." I think anyone in this situation could tell that Chris was acting weird. I'm no body language expert or anything, but the man is acting strange. No real concern for his family. He doesnt mention his wife is even pregnant until a commercial pops up of a fetus. The way he keeps looking at the door as if he wants to run out of it. The bed sheets, the fact that he didnt let them inside immediately. All those little things make it pretty obvious in my opinion.

Chris knew how controlling Shan'ann was. Shan'ann would've made his life a living hell. Either way, Chris was going to live a death sentence with or without Shan'ann. The neighbor is probably thinking "holy shit, I've got a murderer standing in front of me in my house."

I found it extremely interesting how he didn't care, his entire demeanor was off. If your wife and more importantly your kids are missing, you wouldn't walk around and casually talk to people. The only moment he got nervous was when the neighbor said there was a security system recording everything, you can tell he only cared about getting caught. This guy is a complete monster, I literally had to cover my ears when he said he took the kids and dumped them alive into the oil tank.

Nicole Atkinson is a hero - she knew something was wrong & immediately acted. Chris didn't even have 24 hours to get away after the murder.

@@chrrris_ I think she was referring to him not having enough time to cover his tracks being that the friend realized something was wrong only a few hours after he killed them..he killed them on the 13th and was arrested on the 15th. He probably didn't think he would get caught that fast. Thank God for her friend!

She was texting her the night before that Chris was going to leave her and she cried herself to sleep. Her friend was flying back in and when she didn't hear from her she knew something was up. Can't ignore those instincts you know? At the beginning of the video she's like "her car is here... Her car is in garage"... She's a good friend, I'm sad it was too late.

When I was attacked by my ex in our duplex, our roommate (his best friend) pretended to be asleep and couldn't hear me while I screamed for help on the stairs. Our duplex neighbor heard me and ran over, busted thru the front door, & got me before I got my head bashed in. This is scary. I fear, with no real friends now and no close family nearby what if something were to happen and no one knew

Cop just met the father so it was complicated for him to give him a judgment but his neighbor's wife and chris' wife were friends so they were really close.

The intercutting between the footage of the empty house & the family in those exact same places, being happy & content, is devastating, really.

And if a cop calls you and said your wife isn't coming to the door and you are 45min away knowing shes pregnant and diabetic wouldnt you be more concerned about her well being and tell the cop to kick in the door or break a window? Do whatever you need to get inside bc I'm 45min away. You wouldnt say ok I'll come home and open the door. That was the first red flag to me. He wasnt concerned with her well being when told shes not answering the door knowing she wasnt feeling good the night before.

Why do people fetishize basic humanity nowadays? I think what the friend did is a basic human thing to do.

Chris was probably thinking, "Wow, my neighbor saw more than I wanted him to see". Plus, her friend alerting the police so soon, now what do I do?"

My home security camera has the option to erase stored memory in every 12 hours, 4 days or 30 days. He could have done so many things to cover up better if he had more than just 1 day. I wonder why they [friend and son] suspected Chris so quickly? Did Chris already have an off-putting persona or was that guy [the son] just heavily interested in crime scene stuff?

It's crazy to think that if Chris really still cared enough about Shanann, it's likely he would have known and remembered her doctor's appointment and wait a day. Then he could have committed the murders and give himself enough time to dress up a story and alibi. Nicole was instrumental in setting forth Chris' reckoning.

This video is so beautiful made with cops cam and the kids memories transitions in and out. It’s truly well made video.

I pray to God that I don’t end up with someone like him one day.

These cutscenes where the kids are seen alive and playful are killing me. Can't wrap my head around what this guy did to his own babies.

Yes!!I actually Hate that because it makes me think there happy playing as kids should being alive...What a f'ed situation my lord...😢🤬

Shannan had great friends and neighbours. They helped catch him so early and they knew it from the get go!! …. So sad and shocking. May she and her three little angels rest in peace.
