It says a lot that not only did Prince publicly say he loved the song, you can see pretty much all the other nominees (especially Kelly and Frank) are absolutely delighted that Gotye and Kimbra won. The Grammys don't always get it right, but they nailed it here.

There‘s so much going on in this video. Thoughts can‘t help but drift to the contemplation of a love triangle - they both just look so incredibly fond of the guy, and a swell and dashing fella he seems to be too. Prince is just on his own plane (and is now there permanently). It‘s one of those (award) moments where you sense it‘s the recipients‘ entire life condensed into this one moment.

It is the same with many artists and performers. When they have a hit, it is usually a big one. For some reason to me, this song never grows old for me in that I can hear it all the time and everywhere I go and still feel excited. I don't feel this way about any other song. I think we should be thankful for all of our favorite songs, music, movies,, books, magazines, newspapers, photos, etc. Do you have a big hit song? Remember, accessing one's creative energy is a gift. Gotye and Kimbra have lots of talent. It has never been every day that one has a bit hit.
