SWV aka sisters with voices performed last night in a VERUZ battle against XSCAPE. The battle took place in Atlanta Georgia, home of competing group XSCAPE. New York natives SWV brought their R&B/ Gospel vocal prowess to the battle.
Both SWV and XSCAPE have a decent catalog of hits. Each group went head to head with their best songs during this SWV VERZUZ XSCAPE battle.
Watch SWV lead vocalist Coko let loose finally. The whole night it appeared that she was holding back. In this video clip, you can clearly see why

None of them had auto tunes and Xcape sounded just like the record….Both groups were great!
I love how Tamika Scott was just beaming at SWV every time they sang. She was loving it all.

Yes she still has that bright and pure first soprano tone! Amazing voice sung with feeling. She is so special. And Taj and Lelee harmonising creates this angelic sweet sound.
Coko was in her mid range here but she still slayed them runs. She betta SANG. That lady can BLOW!

I think Latocha Scott and Tiny "Do u want to" made Coko and SWV step up with this performance of "Weak" and this when the battle really got hot

Coko went solo way back in 1998 with a major record company and released an album with a lot of promotion and marketing that did nothing except the lead single sunshine which was moderately successful …..every lead singer doesn’t make a successful solo singer….and neither Kandi nor LoTocha Scott had successful solo careers either.
