They were speaking about the tunnel under shifa hospital that the IDF said they found the door to down a shaft from the outside & were afraid to open for fear of it being booby trapped The man even explained where the tunnell turned. Now I know nothing about bunkers or tunnells but they keot repeating that there were TUNNELS beneath Al Shifa

What is said isn't a secret Israel once controlled the gaza strip and they then expanded the hospital and added a underground bunker. Once Israel withdrew from gaza to the oslo accord in 2005, hamas took over the hospitals. It's not known when but hamas decided to build tunnels in order to hide their activities underground and protect their members from air force attacks from Israel. Sadly the majority of tunnels are connected to civilian facilities such as hospitals and schools.

Christine Amanpour was sadly disappointed when former Israel Prime Minister Ehud Barak said the tunnels under the al shifa hospital in Gaza built by Israel military engineers long time ago.

The duty of a journalist is to record the facts and let viewers/readers contemplate those facts. OMFG, you people are DENSE! Obviously his primary language is not English. If you have a level far enough underground it is effectively a bunker by virtue of its depth. We call this a basement! For example, the "first floor" means different things depending on what kind of English you are using. So, no, not persuaded that he is versed in architectural terminology in English. There are above-ground bunkers and below-ground bunkers. What's an empty bunker underground? A basement! What's a basement deep in the ground? A bunker, by virtue of the earth between it and the surface. The IMPORTANT thing is what is IN the "bunker"/basement. Is it Hamas' military personnel, equipment and weaponry? Then HOW THE F is that Israel's fault?!
