When California goes bankrupt and suffers financially catestropic failure I do not want one cent of my tax dollars going to rescue it. The governor has often repeated that if California was a country it would be the 8th largest in the world. Okay then it should ask the world for help not the US taxpayers.

Don’t worry, California’s tax dollars are more likely rescuing you than the other way around. We pay more in federal taxes than we receive in federal spending. And also, it’s not the 8th largest economy in the world, it’s the 5th largest.

Instead of funding the welfare state with the federal government, I think the taxpayer money would be better spent auditing the financials of states according to constitutional law and a requirement to have balance books.

Rep. Kevin Kiley is one of the BEST people in government that I know of. This is what a politician is supposed to be like. He is really making a difference. What a great human being.

California is so bad I have written it off as a state to ever go to.

I’m currently in Sacramento County. I’ve lived in Placer County. Placer county is always cleaner. There’s not garbage littered all over the streets. There’s not homeless encampment. There’s not cracked out people walking in the middle of the streets. It is my plan to move back to Placer County in the near future. But hopefully out of the state.

Well, Gavin Newsom is getting his feelings hurt for being called out on his BS and having people that don’t agree with his policies or the fact that he runs a horrible situation as governor I work in a area where people come by things and they will come into the store Take a backpack off the shelf fill it with $500-$1000 worth of goods then grab a baseball bat off the aisle and attack employees with the baseball bat while wearing a backpack they stole along with all the items they stole in the backpack, drowning to hurt employees while they tried to run out of the door or run out the fire exit This is stuff that I had to deal with under Gavin Newsom theft law, allowing people to steal $920 or less and get a misdemeanor. I am also had two defense female employees that were being attacked by criminals stealing trying to run out of the store, putting hands on females And I had to play security and deal with these individuals and actually I have also had to call police officers to assist with dealing with these individuals. I have also had to call law enforcement to help me and other areas of expertise relaying to security or homeless people were living in parking lots at stores And I had to get a hold of law-enforcement to remove an RV that was parked in the parking lot of a retail store and inside that RV in the parking lot he was cooking methamphetamines so if you want to be upset with me calling you out Gavin Newsom and have me followed around town or have anyone else followed around town by under covers or police officers because your feelings are hurt that I am calling you out on your policies deal with it I had to put my health and my life in harms way to defend employees, and the stores based on policies that you have passed so if you have a problem with me Being honest and not agreeing with the friends you keep and the rules you decide to pass that is your own personal issue not mine and if you need to buy a box of tissues because I’ve upset you and your crying about it, you can come to somewhere I work and you can buy yourself a three pack of tissues to wipe yourself tears Otherwise you need to back off and leave me alone and accept the fact that you are making things worse for people I work with and the companies I work for.

By the way, I note that the speaker is a Republican from a largely Republican district. And although the title of this clip refers to Gavin Newsom's policy failures, let's not let the facts get in the way of what clearly is a snipe at the Governor. Fact, the changes in how property crimes are prosecuted which the gentleman carefully avoids mentioning are not due to any policy failures of Governor Newsom. These changes came about because the voters of California passed Proposition 47. Prop 47 prioritized violent crimes over property crimes and lowered the penalties for property crimes, felonies to misdemeanors, misdemeanors to infractions. Fact, the rise in property crimes rose significantly during COVID as people lost jobs and the ability to earn income. Fact, the ranks of many police departments throughout California have diminished due to safety issues and higher risk of being shot by a proliferation of semiautomatic assault weapons. It has become extremely hard finding candidates for police duty. All these factors come into play in regard to the increase in property crimes. While there are many things one can fault our Governor for, it was the voters not the Governor who are responsible for the changes in the laws regarding property crime.
