    While it’s not a quick video, unlike other channels- every second of this video was useful! Most people talk about so much extra crap. Only thing worth mentioning, I bet you all the loose bolts were from that store. It comes only partially assembled in box when they order them. Some teenager put that seat on

    Thank you for the feedback! I totally agree about the loose bolts! They do also vibrate quite a lot so lock tight would be a beneficial upgrade just to help prevent losing bolts and rattling.

    The rule of thumb back when the original 6 wheel ATVs came out was that if you had a roll bar you wanted to wear seat belts, but if you didn't you don't. On the latter, if it rolls, you're far better off if you're thrown clear rather than having roll over on top of you every time. At least you have a chance if you're not buckled it.

    Well, I hate to say it! I bought one six years ago, and I have had no trouble. I have had nothing but fun and years of enjoyment! It’s perfect! I do appreciate what improvements you want to make, but make sure that you don’t make it sound like it’s no good without the improvements. I have not turned a wrench on mine one time! Just one battery.

    That’s great to hear! This is just the experience I have had with this one. If I bought another I would take the same precautions just to be sure it didn’t end up needing major repairs like an engine or something. Quality control could have very well changed since the time you purchased yours. Either way it’s good to hear success stories with them. We enjoy it very often and do not regret the decision to buy. 👍🏼 thank you for commenting!

    I would be concerned about the brand name: "Assimo". lol. Though it is cute, do you want a front wheel drive go cart that can't do donuts for $2,500? $1,500 would get a bunch more buyers. Is it better to sell 10 items at $100, or 7 items at $150? The rule of thumb is 100% markup in retail. That way there is room for a "sale". So it cost $1,250 and store marks it up to $2,500. How about $1,500 and I'll paint it myself? lol.

    Good stuff man. I work for a kymco dealer. They are Taiwanese. In the dealer manual they give you 1 hour flat rate to uncrate the things, put everything together, and be ready on the showroom floor. We’ve gotta double check every nut and bolt and basically build the damm things so customers don’t have issues like you. Put a roll cage and harness in it

  • @Higgsgarage

    @Higgsgarage

    My cousin bought his son a new coolster 3speed mini Willy's jeep 125cc new in 2016. After a year only issue was throttle cable attachment behind the gas pedal broke and seemed to have been bolted with the cable bent. I work on small engine equipment at my home shop so made some simple adjustments and i have little cheap speed gun and got 42mph with my son 125lbs back then flat asphalt side road. Don't know how other brands are but the coolster was impressive for a china made one. Im 45 and 230lbs and it was surprisingly fast. Thought I was over weight limit but no because has a 400lb weight limit. Before all that i changed the oil and put amsoil in it and tossed the chinese torch brand spark plug and put a ngk in it. Pretty cool little ride but $2,500 plus and easily over 3 grand after taxes. Fairly expensive.

    I would check the Jerry can for use for fuel. Remove the fuel tank over the engine and route a fuel line to the bottom of the Jerry can . (new easy to fill fuel tank). Also it can now be filled with a hot engine. If the oem fuel tank was part of the engine’s air cooling system, you may need to construct an air duct.

    I JUST learned that tractor supply sells these, and so I am going down the mini jeep rabbit hole now lol for the longest time we only had one tractor supply here in town, but I've never seen one of these over there. Then again, I have never really looked for anything like this because I had no idea that they would even carry or sell anything like this, but again, again, I go there pretty often and I've never seen one... But, we do have a new location that was recently built and I'm willing to bet they probably will have them at the new location, probably you know till like stand out from the other one from like a store competitor standpoint. I don't even know if the new ones open to the public yet, but I'm definitely going to go look for one and see if I can at least get a test drive lol This would absolutely be perfect for teaching a young person how to drive stick shift (without sacrificing your own transmission in your own truck lol).

    They have a flat needle bearing washer type out there that I saw on utube to help the lawnmower steering out of the front axles! I believe there are many sizes out there that maybe another way to help the sprocket wear.

    I had a good friend in high school “75” who him and his dad bought a ww2 willies jeep in a crate. They had to put everything together so every nut built or screw the put together. They knew it was all tight. Maybe if you could buy the mini in a crate, it wouldn’t have the problems yours seemed to have!

    I would use some type of nylon spacer between sprocket and case. You may have to replace it occasionally, but atleast it would take the wear and friction wouldn't cause the washers wear on the case.

    Instead of 2 washers use one and a transmission part called a thrust bearing. With the rollers bearing on the side sandwich the bearing with a washer then you don't have to worry about the case. You can buy thrust bearings in nearly any size any reputable parts shop should have them.

    Just picked one of this up as well for my 7 year old daughter. since you have a speedo in there, how fast does this thing actually go? That battery is puny for sure. Going to change that exhaust? bet you could add a little power and make it sound better with different little mini exhaust. My daughter is near your son's size, ive found some of these other mini jeeps with dual adjustable seats, wonder if that is a smart upgrade to allow them to reach the pedals better. subbed.

    I’m not sure how accurate the Speedo is but it is gps and I have got it to 30mph but it is screaming and I don’t recommend doing it lol. Not with stock sprockets and tire size anyways. I thought about running the exhaust out the back to see if it would be quieter up front but have not made any decision on it just yet. I have also seen the jeeps with the sliding seats, I don’t think they would be hard to accommodate but my son seems to be ok and he is growing so fast that I don’t know if it would be worth the effort to add them. It wouldn’t hurt for sure but I think we will keep stock seats at least for now.

    @@Higgsgarage awesome thank you, regarding your sprocket issue my son's jeeps looks slightly heavier duty, idk if maybe they upgraded the parts due to that problem but I'm gonna keep an eye on it none the less, one thing I did notice and am still trying to figure out is the steering wheel joint slightly rubs the side of the engine housing that covers the automatic transmission, it does this when turned to the right at pretty much the limit of turning radius I'm not sure if this was because the steering system was put in slightly off center or if during assembly and alignment things weren't adjusted right and it was pulled to the right side effecting the clearance I'm gonna have to look at this more and decide if this is something I need to correct or just accept.. it doesn't seem to affect drivability but I'm not sure if it limits turning radius enough on right turns to be an issue
