I am 5’1 and have this bag, I LOVE IT!

Love this bag. I started stirring it by hanging it however, I noticed that the handles started to stretch so now I lay it down. I hope that this doesn't flatten the quilting over time. I also with the pochette had a YSL logo it would really elevate it.

It's so beautiful! This is def one I could see having in my collection. But I'll wait a bit for a pre-loved one. 4000 CHF is too much IMO

Thanks Steph for such an amazing and honest review. I've been struggling with whether or nor to go for this bag all of 2022. I'm in the market for two big bags this year and my options are the Chanel XXL Classic Flap, the Botegga Jodie in medium or maxi or this bag...all of these are for life pieces to me, but with the cost of thr YSL, I'm leaning more towards the other two. Neither of these will I buy new and I'm thinking your right that I should wait on the YSL. 🤷🏾‍♀️

Patiently waiting for a smaller size. Hopefully they learn from Chanel as they brought out different sizes of the deauville and now they can have my money for the small. So that has taught me to be patient. Which is what I’ll do.

Im tiny, so it isnt for me, but I think my mom would love it. She’s loves her big bags and she takes everything. It would probably a travel bag, but it would work as her work bag (she’s a personal nurse)

I agree with you about them purposely not putting hardware on the pouch. It's funny cause I thought the bag was too big on me when I tried it on but I think it looks good on you and you're tiny. I love your hair Luke that 🩷

Oh my goodness….. I have this bag ! I was on the fence because of the price but my husband surprised me with it ! I have to be honest with you. I am pretty hard on my bags. I am not one to change them often or on a daily basis I work in a beauty salon, so having a well put together bag is very important to me, so I really don’t think this will be one that I pull out very often but I really do think it is beautiful, I have seen a few people carrying it in the mall I was walking through Nordstroms and Neiman Marcus in our local mall and saw a few women with it and it is eye-catching. I am tall 5 foot nine maybe that’s not really tall but I think I can pull it off ! The leather is so soft and buttery for everyday purposes is not good for me ! ❤

My niece is 6 foot and she is 30 years old I feel short when I’m next to her I have to say I put on a few pounds eating too many Christmas cookies I need to stop 😂 I’m really curious to see about the wear and tear on this bag myself. I’ve had it for three months and only pulled it out twice. I really get mad at myself when I pull this crap buying these bags and not using them . This is going to be one of my New Year’s resolutions to stop being impulsive with my bags and shoes . 🤞🏻 Happy New Year 🎊….

My handles are stiff for some reason and the shoulder wear is not comfortable but you can definitely fit a ton!

I literally just bought this in Prague! I think with tax refund it was def worth it 😊 I plan on using it as a travel bag. Oh and I got the velvet coat too haha

Such a great review Steph , in my view this bag is very overpriced I think it would be a lovely bag if the Ysl on the front was much smaller it looks so over the top can’t wait to see how it wears for this crazy price x

Yeah it’s just not a bag I’d consider for YSL. I’m in Canada and it is $5,920 plus 13%tax ($6,689)!! Ouch. Not for a bag that won’t hold its value. Great video again. Thank you.

Steph, great review! This bag definitely is not for me because of the lack of structure and the price.

Considering how much people have been paying for mini and micro bags, I think the price is absolutely justified for a bag of this size, regardless of resale value. That is A-LOT of material. The bag is made up of all leather. If a luxury branded canvas tote can be half the price or more, why can’t this bag be double when it’s made up of all leather? Lol, the measurements on the bag sounded like the measurements of my body. I thinks it’s unfortunate that the price doesn’t seem worth it because it’s YSL and not Chanel when you get so much more material that a classic flap or even a 22.

So glad you did this video and gave your final thoughts! Tired of hearing about this bag tbh. Not a fan of it, but to each his own!

I would get the LV Carmel if I would spend 5k on a bag. The Mahina leather will wear much better.

Bag size seems practical for dumping scraf, hat, and winter gloves for you and partner if necessary.

Can you share a video of bags the 16 inch MacBook fits in? It was great to see that here, although this bag is not for me.

Hey! With respect to the givenchy soft antigona, wanted to know the wear and tear of the bag and the wrinkles that could possibly form on it because it is not a structured bag.

I wish Chanel had come up with a large tote similar to this and with the CC logo. Instead we have the boring, uncreative 22 bag that looks like a drawstring gym bag. Not a good alternative IMO. It also has serious quality issues. I will not buy the YSL ICare cause I think I will get tired of it + the price increase is just ridiculous. I like big bags though so perhaps I'll go for the Gucci Aphrodite in large, it has a reasonable price as well.

How does the leather do in bad weather like rain?😊

I like it more than Chanel 22 and It looks cool on the others, but it's not my style. I don't like big bags in general.

Great Review-bag is too high of a cost for YSL. When it came out, it was 3700-they added 1000$ because of the celebrity reviews!

Have this bag- was $5400 after taxes. I used it yesterday and it accidentally brushed against concrete wall- split second and the leather in that spot is frayed and discolored.

For this price I would go for the ROW bags

I want it but I’m only 5’1 and it will look soooo big on me😢

I wish to god it was a bit smaller and I would buy it in a minute!!!

Ok I need to be honest on this I like it but don’t love it. I put everything in this bag it’s my work bag but it falls from my shoulder all day long and I can only wear it in the crook of my arm and I just can’t with the weight 😮

I see this as an athleisure bag. I don’t think it works dressed up and I can’t see throwing a laptop in with so little structure and protection. It’s cute but for the money you can get more.

This bag looks like a free bag with purchase from Victoria’s Secret. Def. Not worth the price and it’s all the hype. Influencers have said they received this bag for free. I’d go for Chanel any day

At release this bag was $3900, I think. I think it was worth that. $4900, I have my doubts.

Those are my thoughts too. At $4900, over $5000 with tax, it’s a hard no for me.

For me a no go. Everything on this bag is so xxl too much. Not practical, dont like the handling. Price out of space.

It’s too bling and gaudy. It doesn’t scream elegance. It doesn’t look like it will wear well. Sorry if that offends others, just my opinion but you could get something so much nicer for that money. Personally I don’t think designer totes are worth the cash, apart from the On the Go.

No offense taken at all I have never been like that about my bags we all have our own taste . It’s definitely one that I will not be pulling out often and the price was extremely high but it’s getting to the point where I think all these bags are getting that way I purchased a FENDI a few months ago. By the time I purchased an extra strap that I wanted the price was outrageous. I just feel like everything is getting so high. For my lifestyle, my next purchase will probably be the on the go in the black leather and a lot of my Louis Vuitton’s in the leather really seem to hold up for me for my lifestyle . I wouldn’t say I’m really tall I’m 5 foot nine but I do love a big bag. I keep trying to get used to the cross bodies but I think I’m so used to big bags that when I use my cross bodies I switch back over … I guess I will see how things go with the YSL. I guess it was a little bit of an impulsive buy On my husband’s part 😂 ❤

Love the bag! It’s my weekend getaway tote! Purchased in Monte Carlo last summer (have a great shopping story to go with it)! This was also with the tax rebate in Europe and pre major price increase! TBH I would NOT have purchased in the states but it’s a striking attention getter. 🫶🏾🖤
