He's great with explaining everything to her and is very patient!
I would like to hire that PT. He can do my PT after my surgery anytime.
I walked just a few hours after a total knee replacement. It hurt but the block was still on board so I did pretty well. Now 4 days post op I have 100% range of motion (knee bending) and can walk without the walker around the house. But I have wonderful PT people and great support at home here! The videos help wonderfully too!!

Rubbish if you still had spine block you can't feel your legs
Just stating the truth. First week, pain was a 20 on a scale of 1to 10. After that, just resting pain at night and when not moving. 4 weeks post op now and pain is legit zero except at night trying to sleep. First week is rough, after that, you'll get through

I did both knees 5 years ago. Had the best dr in SA! I didnt have pain only sore when I did my exercises. After 6 weeks I stll have 40 of the 60 painkillers. By the grace of God the doctor did a great job. I praise Him for my speedy recovery. My late mom had her first knee replacement at 83 and the other leg at 85 with the some results - no pain and a wonder to walk without pain. All praise to God

This PT is an anointed Therapist. I thank this young lady for sharing these few hours post op TKR surgery.
This man is so nice. Bravo
My mom had both knees replaced at same time at age 82. She claims her recovery went well because she spent full week in hospital with daily PT sessions, then 3 more weeks at inpatient rehab where PT worked with her twice a day. She gives all the credit for getting back on her feet to those 4 weeks of intense PT as an inpatient. After discharge a therapist came to her home for several more weeks. Today they send you home same day as surgery or next day. You’re left to do all exercises on your own, manage your pain, and make your way to a PT facility. You’re responsible for providing your own wheelchair/walker/cane/ice machine/cold packs etc before surgery. My mom’s equipment was all delivered to her home free (Medicare) pre surgery. Robotic surgery has made TKR easier for the docs, but recovery can be a real bear with insurance denying much of the care patients need, especially if you’re old.
Wish my pain level was that low 😞. Mine has been through the roof!🥺😭
8 hours post op i have done my walking first and second PT first one with no pain meds, i was in tears. Second with meds definitely don’t be scared to get meds. It was ruthless

Lovely to see you walking so soon after your TKR.
I was exactly the same, day 2 on crutches, was able to perform same exercises, did pre op exercises 6 weeks b4 hand too. Had robotic surgery, less invasive. V happy from UK, yes plenty of ice.
Good luck. Gota say the PT seems real good, both of you , keep it up.
Having read all the comments I've contacted my surgeon today and cancelled my op in 3 weeks time. I think I'll just go with the pain I have now that I'm able to cope with.
I had surgery (TKR). Surgery took 55 mins. Went home the next morning. Of course I felt no pain for about a day. Walking was a breeze. During PT, there of course was some pain. I took meds and was fine.
Damn where was this guy when I had my knee replacement 😐... my PT didn't do any exercises. Just told me to get up and walk... Wow .
This PT man is wonderful!
Awesome video

@@3TESLA lol..Yes I was just wondering if you had A TKR ON BOTH KNEES?? Sorry should have been more specific...
I had my full right knee replaced with robotic assisted surgery 4 days ago, am in rehab right now since I live by my self in a house with lots steps. I was up walking 6 hours after surgery, the PT had a belt around me (a must) for safety when I walked the short distance, my PT did all of the steps shown in the video plus some. Not much pain since I was still under the drugs they gave me during the surgery. My advise is that get it done if your knee is in pain, or, bone on bone, it will not get better by itself. Yes, it is painful when you doing all the PT steps, it is a truly “no pain, no gain” situation, it is because the PT try to have the full range of knee motions back. You do not want to gone thru the surgery and not have your knee back to the healthy stage with full range of the motions. Good luck to anyone looking into doing the knee replacement surgery, the end result will outweigh the pain.

Some like me are letting others know what to really expect. You see people walking right after the anesthesia wears off, and about to be discharged, they don't mention the nerve block injection in those videos. I didn't find out about it until I was being discharged same day. I said I'm surprised I'm not in hardly any pain, then found out about the injection that lasts a few days afterwards.
I was only out of work with my hip 4 weeks 😊
I am on day 2 post op. Had the surgery monday and today is Wednesday. I am finding it so hard to even move my leg! I can only move it to get up and down to use the bathroom and then only with the walker. I cant wait until i get my tendons and muscles back the Way they are supposed to be bc this pain is the worst pain i have ever had. Recovery from 3 c-sections was easier!
